My best score so far is 792mph got 793 but then crashed hehe so 792 it is apologies for the massive picture it just turned out like that

Thought I'd give it a shot. I got 795 MPH.

Couldn't get the whole screen... Crappy cell phone camera on huge projector.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i got 799 and i got SLAMED in the wall RIGHT at the finish the rx just got me i was soooooooooooooooo mad!

i got 774 and i had heavy damage so I was suprised when i got that high.

I can tell with this speed challenge thing, when it comes to leaderboards and whatnot... There's pretty much gonna be a maximum score that no one can beat, and everyone at the top of the boards will have the same exact speeds. They should add .00 to the mph or something.

No, it doesn't give the decimal values in the final report. But in game it does. So, i just took a note of it while the race was still on

As for tips, well, are you timing your shifts right?
Another thing i noticed in the game was Drafting. Yeah, the same old drafting from UG2. But this time around it doesn't give you more N2O. But it gives you some extra speed. I can't yet certify it, though. But that does seem to be the trick in work here.
Try to have some opponent cars in front of you before a checkpoint while you're using your nitro. You might notice an extra speed count to yourself.

Another important thing is shifting, if you're on the G25, then you really gotta time your shifts right or you'll lose quite a bit of speed. It's easier on the keyboard though. But even there you gotta be fast enough.

The first and second checkpoints are the places where you can really get 207 Mph. Or around. As in, chances are high at those places. So, try to make maximum use of this opportunity.
At no checkpoint must you clock below 202 Mph to get speeds higher than 800. So try and use your nitro where you feel the need for it most.
At the last checkpoint, it's a bit difficult for the car to maintain a 200+ Mph top speed. So, at times, nitro does really help there.

@ Firestorm: Thanks man. I've been using auto, maybe manual can get me to those higher speeds. I thought drafting might have something to do with it, but I'm usually passed everyone after the first checkpoint. Anyways, I'll give it a shot. Thanks again.

Yeah i have the same problem there, normally by the first checkpoint ive passed 70% of the other drivers. However i will still try to get the others for the second checkpoint and see if i can draft a bit with them.

on the tougher checkpoints, a little before the checkpoints btw

It's no 814, but it's an improvement...

With a bit of practice i got 810. I only drafted a little bit, with some luck and more drafting i'd do better.
