Yeah i thought that Mitsubishi was Japanese.

Thanks for listing the others too though. I dont know about the others, but I for one needed that list. I guess you could classify me in the group of people who didnt know who all the manufacturers were.

Cheers!!! :)

Acura, Infiniti and Lexus are actually subdivisions of Honda, Nissan and Toyota, directed specifically to USA. But they are still owned by the main branch.

It's kind of like how BMW own Mini or Mini owns BMW I cant remember how it was.
And how Chrysler own Dodge.

Chrysler bought out Dodge in 1914, from the Dodge brothers.

Chrysler LLC is an American automobile manufacturer that has been producing automobiles since 1925 and from 1914 under the Dodge name. From 1998 to 2007, Chrysler and its subsidiaries were part of the German based DaimlerChrysler (now Daimler AG) after an arduous deal dubbed a "Merger of Equals" in 1998.[1] Prior to 1998, Chrysler Corporation traded under the "C" symbol on the NYSE. Under DaimlerChrysler, the company was named "DaimlerChrysler Motors Company LLC", with its U.S. operations generally referred to as the "Chrysler Group".

On May 14, 2007 DaimlerChrysler AG announced the sale of 80.1% of Chrysler Group to American equity firm Cerberus Capital Management, L.P., although Daimler continues to hold a 19.9% stake. Chrysler LLC is the new name.[2] The deal was finalized on August 3, 2007.[3]

I'll go for the AE86 too (later S15).I like JDM's and the AE86 is a nice little car MADE for drifting it is easy to tune and you don't need a lot of power to drift (unless like drag where its all about the engine).

yeah my little nissan 240sx works just fine for drifting, i'm not very good at drifting, but i've had some really good runs with it, and havn't put more than 10,000 into it.

JDM=Japanese Domestic Market. E.G. A Subaru Imperza WRX STi, is availble in the UK as the Euro Spec, but can be imported from Japan as JDM, with a slightly altered spec (I think JDM STi's come standard with Pioneer radios and 6 CD changers.)

My car? S15 all the way!

I am a Nissan Guy in real life. And I find that the entire Nissan line up serves me well in the game - R34 for Speed Challenge, 350Z for Grip, S13 and S15 for Drift, S13 for Drags.

Tested the S15 against the S13. When I have enough cash (which is very soon) to buy a S15 and deck her off with all Stage 3 upgrades - the S15 will be my new Drift star

"since we obviously have a few members who don't know what manufacturers are JDM il post a list.

technically, only Honda, Nissan, Toyota, Mazda(Matsuda), Lexus, Mitsubishi, and Subaru care JDM. Acura is a US division of Honda, Infinit is a US division of Nissan, and scion is a US division of Toyota.

is it me or does the 240SX and the S15 sound the same in game. if it DOES, then that's just really wrong. cuz the 240 has the KA24 engine, and the S15 has the SR20. and dat DOES NOT sound the same.

AE86´s are graet for grip racing with just a little tunning at least in BM and React I have not reaches SP yet :( ; but I think Ill be using an R35 latter
I use an S13 for drag racing, without any engine upgrade I´m hitting 10 seconds flat :!:
For Drifting i would choose an RX7, I just love this car and the sound of the turbo...
In Speed Challenge I use the 350Z that you will In BM latter I think Ill be using an GTR-Proto

hmmm...

I'd have to go with the Mitsubishi Eclipse, Evo, Nissan 350Z, Honda S2000

Does the R35 count?
