Any real tuners?
SUBJECT. If so what do you drive and what do you have on it, or in it. Or what car you want to drive. Or just direct me to the post with this subject...
I drive a 1997 Honda Prelude 2.2 VTi (kinda rare in America)
wings west body kit, euro tailights, euro clear corner head lights, cat back exhaust, cold air intake, perfomance brakes, engine management system, racer seats carbon fiber dash and layout, 18" Velox VX 8 rims (black and chrome) and thats about all I can afford right now. don't even have a system yet, lol

You can say that my neighbour is a real tuner, he drives a Renault 5 GT Turbo, 225bhp.
Apexi turbo kit, chargecooler, supersport muffler system, and chip tuning (engine is normal GT Turbo, stock has 160 hp)
402 meters in 13.6 seconds

Also my uncle owns the fastest Opel Ascona in the region and probably in the country (Croatia).
Intercooler, 2 air filters, also supersport exhaust, supercharged, engine from Saab 900...
402 meters in 11.9 seconds

Or better yet into a vw rabbit! Ive seen alot of this done before and those little cars haul bumbum. I have a video of one somewhere, I will post it later.Dragster wrote:I really like older cars modified to hell...
Like I said, a very often modification (if you have money, ofcourse) is putting VW Golf 3's VR6 engines in VW Golf 2. It may sound silly, but to me it's one of the best mods ever... I start to sweat when I see that
Why not try a 1.8T engine (from Audi TT, A3,...) 220bhp...Dragster wrote:I really like older cars modified to hell...

More powerful then that VR6 and maybe more tuneable.
Here's a site about the possibilities with a GOLF

Yeah, ofcourse those engines are better, when they are expensive!
You can buy 4 used Golf 3's with VR6 engines for one Audi TT

Most insane modification I've seen is a Corrado VR6 with a transplanted R32 lump and a custom Stage 2 supercharger. Lots of strengthening work, 6-speed 'box and 440 BHP. At the front wheels.
Apparently, the owner is going to fit it with Haltech 4x4 soon.
Wouldnt mind seeing the 1/4 mile for that beast...
