Dukes of Hazzard - The Movie

Post by Maverick2K4 »

Well, I saw the movie last night, and I thought it was great even though it got bad reviews and ratings from critics. If you know what the old school Dukes is about, then I recommend seeing this movie. If you like good car action, humor, and action, I recommend seeing this movie. The characters were off, but the main core of them were still intact. I think the only actor who was closest to their character was Seann William Scott, he played Bo Luke. Besides that, Rhys Millen who did the stunt driving work for him, he did a great job driving the General Lee. Big question for you people who know he did the stunt work: Did Rhys drift the General Lee? The answer: Yes. You could easily tell where the General drifts. It was pretty cool to see. Go see the movie, you won't be too disappointed, believe me.

Well its a no for now, but seeing Jessican Simpson in a red bikini is rather tempting... although she can't act to save her life, is also a reason why i don't want to see the movie... So a kinda double edged sword for me

I heard it has nothing to do like the original show. They just use the character names and label of the show.

I heard it was car chases and explosions so that's all you really need. Rhys Millen does some of the stunt driving too, the General was so fast he had to bring a rally Evo to film some of the driving.

I might see it, I might not, I dunno. I know I'll definitly see it eventually, but if it ends up as a rental, I won't be crushed.

My g/f's grandfather owned the jail they did the filming at and got to see the filming, stars, etc. I'm an avid watcher of the show and I must say. It's way too modern for me. All the new cars and everything

I think it's just been modernized for the younger crowds who never watched the show. I don't think it was intended to be a remake of the TV show with exact personalities of the characters but instead a generalization of the personalities, which I think they got in the movie. The only thing that I didn't like is that when Catherine Bach played Daisy in the show she didn't use her body as much as Jessica Simpson did.
