NFSMW: PC Version Also On DVD?
NFSMW: PC Version Also On DVD?
Electronic Arts Germany released the box art of Need for Speed Most Wanted. What is interesting about it is that it's a DVD release. Right now it's still unknown if in Europe the game will be released only on DVD or will there also be a CD version.

Right.... But are they gonna release a different version for Asia? I don't think any games in Singapore are in whatsoever NUR DVD format...Bojan wrote:It's NUR DVD which means ONLY DVD.Andre_online wrote:Well, it's certainly not only DVD. From that German word "kompatibel", I think it's save to say that's it'll be on a normal CD Rom, but it's DVD compatible.

I don't get it.Bojan wrote:Electronic Arts Germany released the box art of Need for Speed Most Wanted. What is interesting about it is that it's a DVD release. Right now it's still unknown if the game will be released only on DVD or will there also be a CD version.
The official MW site shows a PC-CDRom case.
A unofficial site shows a PC-DVD case.
And suddenly everybody trusts the unofficial site instead of trusting the official site.
I think it's obvious: There will be a CD version, and most likely a DVD version (but this one is not confirmed by EA yet...)
I personally want the DVD version.
P.S. The deutsch site shows 2 new videos from the demo (September 16th).

a DVD game means that the game is on one dvd (usually) and cd game would mean that there are several cd's in the box.
I'm german and I'm not sure what they actually mean.
For me it sounds like its a DVD-version and the "Nur DVD Kompatibel" (only DVD compatible) is a sort of warning for people who buy the game that they are really aware of getting the DVD version and not the CD version. At least thats what I think. But I also guess that both versions CD and DVD will be available in stores ..

I'm glad they decided to release a DVD version. I'm tired of keeping hundreds of CDs. The DVD version is not necessarly more expensive. CDs are actually more expensive. For example, a DVD holds enough space to fill 6 CDs. Buying 6 CDs is more expensive than buying one DVD. I'm surprised people are still with CD versions. I hardly use CDs for burning. DVDs all the way.
