I'm just gonna look and see how heavy a 70 Boss is. The 350Z is a little heavier, the Track Z is 3400lbs even the base is 3339lbs. The Boss is 3250lbs.The Gravedigger wrote:If I'm not mistaken... the fastback mustang was actually lighter than the 70 boss stang
I'm not 100% sure, but I still think that sounds right...

I'm gonna guess that the driver of the Z is supposed to spin out. To keep spinning out in that one spot, what, four times in a row? Seems deliberate.
And as far as the 350Z vs. Mustang thing goes, they'd weigh about the same, provided it was a small-block Mustang (although with a big-block, it'd be just shy of 4000lbs). Remember, the Mustang was nothing more than a rebodied Falcon (which was an economy car at the time), so in a relative sense, it wouldn't be that heavy. However, since much of the weight would be engine, it'd be a front-heavy car, which leads to understeer (again, worse in the big-block models). It could be caused to oversteer, be it through excessive use of the gas pedal, or just because the suspension was crap, but for the most part, the better balanced Z would be more prone to oversteer.
