Router NAT

Post by EuroRacer »

Hey Guys,

I keep having problems with my router when I want to unlock port-ranges because I have to enter each port manually and it has a limit of 20 entries (Sweex :?) Now I don't really know much about routers, but I suspect that when I turn the firewall(NAT) off, I'll automatically have all ports opened.

Am I right?

Is this it? http://members.chello.nl/e.vanleeuwen13 ... sweex1.jpg

20 entries and no ranges sucks ass. I never saw a router that was less configurable. The solution is to get a new router. Drop your firewall at your peril.

Yes that's exactly the one I've got! It makes me go crazy everytime I want to host a server...

Anyways, were getting Wanadoo Familiy soon (ADSL2 @ 8-15Mbit for EUR23,95). Does anyone know if the wireless router you get with Wanadoo Family is any good?

I just remembered the name of the Wanadoo modem: Livebox
