p.s. please make sure you're questions are specificly for converting and not building cars from scratch as there are already good tutorials for that.

HP2 doesn't use the alpha channel. just convert the TGA to BMP. and replace the 0000.bmp, then you have to grayscale the TGA and then index it and save it as the 0000a.bmp, i use photoshop for this, i don't know how to do it in other programs. what you also have to do with the texture files is mirror them, or thats what i had to do, but i haven't figured it out completely yet. hope this helps mate

Hi again Viper . Just wanted to ask how to make the windows transparent. Also, that **** Oedit doesn't work! It always fails to save the edited mesh, so I can't replace dummies in "Skeleton.o" .. Is there any other way to fix the "crazy wheels?.."

before you save the skeleton file grungy, make sure the file is archive and not read only
also to make the windows transparent, before you convert to oif, in zmod.......choose the window verts and the goto the plugins menu at the top toolbar, click on OIF custom settings and change vertex colour to 7F000000. hope this helps

I beleve I have found my problem. Wenever I try to pack the skin file, it always says "unsucessful termination" and that the file doesnt have a 8-bit alpha channel. I dont know how to save the alpha channel to the .bmp format.
EDIT: I have solved my problem but I dont know how I did it. Now my next problem is trying to make the windows transparent. Anybody know how?
