i once heard a ferarri F430 revvin' up a bit (was only to 5000 rpm, but that was enough to stop my heart....
)

I prefer sports cars over muscle in terms of driving, but the sounds of classic muscle is just pure awesome.

The best car sound ever is definetly a Nissan Skyline R34 GTR modded.

the sound of a 1700 HP viper is absolutely stunning, as for modern day cars i like the sound of our truck a 7.3L V8 diesel w/ 5 inch exhaust the deep tone is awesome especially in town when you get the turbo spooled up

Turbo'd Golf R32 motor with a nice free flowing exhaust.
Or an E46 M3 with Eisemann back boxes and racing cats.

Either a Renault F1 car, BMW 320i GR.5, JGTC Toyota Supra or a modified Supra I heard going under a bridge.

I've been within reach of one (literally) but 've never heard one. A Carrera GT, that is.

They sound almost like an F1 car. A slightly throatier F1 car.

I'd assume so, isn't that what they were originally designed for?

I dunno, it just sounded better than the other F1 cars, but that might be because the other cars where just showing off but Heikki in the Renault went by at pretty high revs.
