EA just announced the contest for this iteration of Need For Speed.

Actually the Mazda 3 MPS is the fastest car in their lineup.

Mazda 3 is a family hatchback....pretty much the same as the Peugeot 206 gti....in UK any way...altho Mazda 3 is faster and better lookin...IT is NOT faster than an RX8....

EA has sum wierd ideas on their class's of cars...

I'd Laugh if it isnt a real car...just a Model...

It puts out more power and doesn't weigh much more. Bummer the contest is US only

Mazdaspeed3 is naturally aspirated 2.3-liter car (250bhp). lighter than previous version

The Mazda RX-8 puts out 232 hp, 2ltr rotary engine, power to wieght ratio means its 900lb's lighter than Mazda 3, plus redlines at 9000revs. So in theory...Rx8 is faster lol

Official specs, check em out

Either way its still a top prize. hope some one who deserves it wins, and can handle it not try driftin it on a canyon road.....just like in the game

The 3 is turbocharged and the RX-8 has a 2.6 litre engine..

Call me Mr Pedantic, but I believe the standard RX8's rotary engine is actually a 1.3 litre unit. Even though it produces upto 238 BHP. Pretty impressive, really!

yep, the Mazda RX-8 (amen...) has got a 1.3 litre engine...and produces 238hp, very close to the Nissan 350z....

Also the "MazdaSpeed3" or simply a tuned Mazda3 it's "slower" than a RX-8 (amen...)

But Xturbo is right, my mistake for puttin 2.0ltr instead of 1.3. which does indeed equate to 2.6. AND the Mazdaspeed 3 IS Naturaly asperated meaning it has a standard injection and cooler system, NOt a bolt on, just check on Mazda.com for gods sake
