Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
@ Zero: Stop being so ignorant. You shouldn't be unconsciously criticizing the best selling gaming console (as of now). It's quite obvious that the graphics on a Wii aren't supposed to look amazing, but there's no way you can match the gameplay.
Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
Whoa man, calm down. You said it yourself, the graphics aren't supposed to be amazing. Which is pretty much what I was implying...

Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
Who said I was angry? And I know that's what you were implying, but you didn't have to create a circumstance where people who read your comment would view the Wii as being inferior.
Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
I guess it just came off like you were. Especially calling me ignorant, I find that somewhat offensive. And I see what you mean, but the Wii kind of is inferior when it comes to graphics compared to other next gen consoles/PC.
Don't get me wrong, I used to own a Wii, and I agree with you that the gameplay is pretty much unmatched. But for a game like ProStreet, it seems like the steering would be difficult to get used to and extremely frustrating (at least at first). And with better graphics, I would much more prefer playing it on 360 or PC.
P.S. Let's not turn this into a Wii vs. 360 argument or anything, lol.

Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
I don't see how being called "ignorant" could be offensive, but sorry if offense was made. I was merely assuming that you lacked all the knowledge of a Wii neccesary to make such a statement. But after reading my comment again, I see how you could find it offensive as it came out quite abrupt. Also, please don't let this incident make you assume that I'm a Nintendo fanboy of somesort
As for steering, if you've ever tried playing NFS: Carbon for Wii, you'll see that it is easy to get used to (it took me just a week to get used to) and is almost like a steering wheel except that it isn't hinged to anything, which can be both good and bad (more movement). Trust me, I felt the exact same as you did before I tried playing Carbon, but it becomes normal after awhile, like you said.
I'm still contemplating on whether to get ProStreet for Wii or PC, and obviously graphics would be the deciding factor.

Lol, alright as long as you weren't intending to be a jerk. Yeah it definitely seems like it could be fun once you're used to it. I'd rather have a wheel and a PC though: better graphics and pedals! Too bad my PC blows... And I can't afford a nice wheel.

Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
*sigh* the sad mistake most gamers make is buying games because of their "graphics"...
Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
Yes yes.. its all about gameplay. but graphics ARE important too.
Sad news is that maybe I won't be playing this series when it come out.. i neither getting an X360 nor can it run on my lappy...

I wouldn't be surprised if they had to decrease the effects for the PC platform. I just think this game is way too high end for an average user PC to handle.

Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
When are the next batch of Q&A coming out? Did i miss em last August cause i don't think they were up? Or maybe those Q&A were already answered in various videos posted by EA? Just wanted to know cause the news about Pro Street has died down abit in the past week or so.Unfortunatly the team is pretty busy so unfortunatly the next Q&A will be organized in August.
Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
[sarcasm]Maybe they were working so hard, that they haven't had time for posting some news about it...[/sarcasm]
Maybe they forgot about the next Q&A.

Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
Cars only get put on the confirmed list once they're officially confirmed through an EA press release or other type of announcement. That way, we can get the right model year.donaldgladden wrote:it has? weird because the wiki dosent have the S15 on the confermed car list like it should. someone should jump to it
Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
Nissan Silvia S15 is already in the carlist dude. But not under "Officially Confirmed", it's under "Unofficially Confirmed" carlist.donaldgladden wrote:it has? weird because the wiki dosent have the S15 on the confermed car list like it should. someone should jump to it

Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
I just noticed something in the FAQ, don't know if it's been mentioned before.
Shouldn't the NFS-like handling be enabled by turning the driving assists on? Disabling them should make the driving harder, therefore more realistic and simulation-like. Driving with all driving aids on should make it easier, therefore more arcade-like.Q: Will the physics be the same as any previous NFS series?
A: No. NFS Pro Streets handling is like a simulation. But you can still have a feel of previous NFS-like handling by turning the driving assist off.

Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
They keep delaying the game to the same date as the previous series... It's the same ol' thing.According to Amazon, the release date for NFSPS has been pushed to November 13th for the US and November 23rd for Europe, this could be possible since that latest Grip video mentioned "In Stores, November 2007" instead of the regular "In Stores, 31-10-07".
But for another way, i hope with this delay they dont release a game with bugs, like Carbon.
Re: NFS Pro Street: Official Discussion Thread
Is there a "story" in the Pro Street?
