Your racing method

Post by GT2LM »

What kind of racing method do you use? Are you an agressive driver or more of a professional driver who gets everything perfect? Do you use Casual, Racer or King aids? Do you use Auto or Manual?

I am an agressive driver who pushes the car to the limits and beyond, but still get the near perfect racing line. I use King aids as this lets you drive with your own style and lines, and I use manual, as I think this turns out a bit faster.

Race Style: Professional (Love the smooth overtakes. Feels more accomplished)

Aids: King (Aids seem to slow your car down a bit, and this lets you feel the car, driving lines=off, don't need the lines, know the lines by heart)

Transmission: Automatic (Lets me focus on the track more, though i may occasionally go manual)

Method: Braking is for the weak(unless you have no choice). So I guess agressive. But I just love a grippy car, one that eliminates the need for braking, why slow down more than you have to?
Aids: King
Transmission: Manual, unless of course I'm feeling lazy, and dont want to touch the right stick.

G25 manual transmision with clutch. In racing most of all i think how clear corner faster and withoup loosing alot of speed. Most of all I trying to play like a pro with interesting lines for atacking and other. Always use inside line, and apex for turn. ^^

Race style: I think that I'm quite agressive driver but still I try to avoid all crashes
Aids: Racer or King
Transmission: Automatic ( havent yet even tried manual  )

I think that I have to change my driving style because my record is only 2:20

Where do you guys use your nitrous? I use them in tunnel...

Method: I guess i am a aggressive driver, but i try to be an professional. Allways try to get cleen turns, and use as much of the road as possible..
Aids: King, it feels much more free..
Transmission: In the past i used automatic, but i just started using manual because you get a much better feeling of the car, and i think its a bit faster.. :)
Love cars forever.. <3 xD

Talking about racing ......... is there any real difference between using the wheel and the keyboard??

Ive heard both versions, those who say that its a lot better and those that say that it isnt worth it. I was willing to buy it for this game exclusively but i just wanted to get a REAL idea from people that have REALLY played at least the demo with the wheel and/or the keyboard.

I was played with G25 throtle control and clutch help to clear corner faster.
With heel to knee tehnic much easy to hold big RPM's this means faster.
Also shifter help u to choose ure own gear. Not like automatic.
On automatic u enter corner on 5th gear thenu just get 3rd.
On manual shifter u can go on 5th then at front of corner put 4th and then on corner 3rd. This will be bether than automatic.

What do most of you guys play on? I rock the 360.

Anyway, Race Style: Professional (But I can get aggressive)
Aids: King (Like someone else said, aids feel like they slow you down. I may try racer aids though)
Transmission: Manual(I think its faster, but I still haven't mastered it)

i tried racing aids and it is crap. IT BRAKES FOR YOU! how can you really call yourself a driver if you cant slow down by yourself? racer and casual aids are only for guys who haven't played a racing game before.

Havent tried the king mode yet. Ill try it on tonight but if im guessing right it should be like any other racing game i have ever played where the computer does not assist you with anything.

While using the racing aids i didnt quite feel that the game was slowing me down, but i might have gotten a wrong impression. Ill tell you tomorrow after ive tried the king mode.

I normally pass all my oponents in the first turn on grip mode and usually by the second checkpoint i have passed my oponents in speed challenge. Ive heard some people that have passed their oponents before the second checkpoint and im sure they are the ones with the lowest times and the highest speed overall.
