Be it my opinion but that seems like a huge oversight in a game that almost half of it is customization, maybe they will release a patch fixing that, who knows.

Why get a Core 2 Quad? It's useless there are barely any applications that run on Full 2 cores and you want a quad core?Carcrazy wrote:The new (soon-to-be) official specs of the Silverbullet2!

Get a Wolfdale Core 2 Duo E8200/E8400/E8500 they are great CPUs and very overclockable even on stock cooling.

Why get the 975X when there is the P35 and X38? Here are some options:

Re: Post your O SO GREAT system specs!
I was looking at a 650watt corsair PSU, but it doesn't have an 8 pin CPU adapter, which is fast becoming a must.
The motherboard gives me everything I need now, and later down the road, for a price I can afford now. I was planning on the Abit Fatal1ty SLI mobo, but it's sold out...
I've already got the CPU, although an E6800 would be the best option now, the point of this is to build a system to last. In two more years, we will start taking advantage of quad cores, even possibly going on octa-cores. Plus, a Q6600 can easily be overclocked to over 4.0Ghz, even out-preforming a Core 2 Extreme with ease.
I'm planning an upgrade to, most likely, a 9800GT this summer... along with an extra 2GB RAM.

Re: Post your O SO GREAT system specs!
Sure most applications can't utilize 4 cores on their own, but many people usually want a quad-core because of the multi-tasking ability.BrontoX wrote: Why get a Core 2 Quad? It's useless there are barely any applications that run on Full 2 cores and you want a quad core?
Re: Post your O SO GREAT system specs!
Yeah but in games it's gonna be like 2-3 FPS difference at max quality. Only at low quality would there be a 10-15FPS difference. And in multi-tasking you can do the same thing on both of them (only if you want more than 4-5 applications running which is impossible) and the old quad core uses an older version of SSE instructions while the new Wolfadle uses the new one (and there will be a new Q9350 which is a 45nm quadcore) so basically as you can see the old quad core is almost useless, at least with the new quad cores coming out and the Dual core Wolfdale on the market.weedman173 wrote:Sure most applications can't utilize 4 cores on their own, but many people usually want a quad-core because of the multi-tasking ability.BrontoX wrote: Why get a Core 2 Quad? Re: Post your O SO GREAT system specs!
Yeah, I've known of the 9000 series quad's... but really the only difference is more overclocking headroom. I'm perfectly fine with the 6600. The G0 is very good in overclocking, and I probably wouldn't use the extra power anyway... I have no need for a 4.5Ghz Quad Core...
About the motherboard...
Yeah, I think I listen next time...
($200 down the crapper... I didn't know the 975X didn't have SLI support...) Now I'll have to find hacked drivers if I want to go SLI. Really stupid to send a bridge with a board that isn't compatible. I knew something was up when it didn't have the SLI logo... >.<*

Re: Post your O SO GREAT system specs!
No intel chipeset motherboard has SLi, only crossfire. If you want SLi you need the nForce 650i, 680i or the new 750i and 780i (there are more nvidia chipsets but they suck only these are worth it).Carcrazy wrote:About the motherboard...

No need for 780i , unless you're thinking of TRI GPU Support then sure

Re: Post your O SO GREAT system specs!
The motherboard features themselves are certainly worth the extra money anyway, you get more overclocking headroom with these sort of chipsets aswell, oh and needless to say that the 780i motherboards are now priced at around 680i value.ImJ wrote:No need for 780i , unless you're thinking of TRI GPU Support then sure

I wouldn't get a HD-DVD AND a Blu-Ray, either Blu-ray or HD-DVD (blu-ray is much more sold than the HD-DVD)
2TB of space? Now that's a total waste of money, 500GB is enough or a 750GB.
Fatal1ty sound card? That's just marketing, xtreme gamer or music is enough.
Too much power there, 750W - 1000W will do fine.
4GB is worthless right now and unless you have a 64 bit OS you can't use the 4gb.
Why the DS3L? The best thing is GA-P35C-DS3R or for a bit more money GA-P35-DQ6.
The new Q9650 are much better than the Q6700.
NONE of the Intel chipsets support SLi so those 2 9600GTs are for nothing, better get a 8800GTX/Ultra or wait for the new 9800 series.
Those are a lot of flaws.

Re: Post your O SO GREAT system specs!
Dude, you can easily run SLI on Intel chipsets, infact, people often say it's easier on an Intel chip than with an nVidia chip. All you need are the modded drivers. That's why companies will even include an SLI bridge with an intel board, like mine.

Re: Post your O SO GREAT system specs!
You don't need a 600W PSU, i have a 9600GT and i can run it on a 380W PSU so that's overkill, you better buy a 400-450W PSU.
BTW why are you buying a mATX case? Is it a LAN party PC? If it isn't don't get a mATX case as it restricts you to a small motherboard and mATX boards are not as good as the ATX boards.
Good choice on the speakers, i have the same model and i am very happy with them.
