Re: Need for Speed Undercover updates
The music in the vids actually made my jaw drop. Finally, a good medley of music to race to! And you know that's the final ingame music because when the videos faded out frames, the music did as well.
I'll reserve judgement on the handling till I play the game. It's quite possible that handling improves as you gain driver skills (based on the premise you're a rookie racer when you start off and gain experience). Or it's quite possible that the handling is shiznit. It's hard to say without actually playing the game.
The graphics look spectacular. The detail astounds me. EA even took the time to revamp the traffic models; now the traffic looks a lot better compared to the race cars than they did in Most Wanted or Carbon. I am kind of weary about hearing that the framerate stuttered at high speeds in the preview build. However, I didn't see any of that stuttering in the gameplay vids, so EA might've fixed it.
I'm going to enjoy Undercover. Even if the handling's shiznit, I'll still have fun customizing cars and taking pictures. The good ol' days of Most Wanted...

Re: Need for Speed Undercover updates
Does anybody know will there be My Cars section where you can freely customize cars like in MW and Carbon?
Re: Need for Speed Undercover updates
Yes, my cars are in. You'll have to unlock them in career first though.Kimba wrote:Does anybody know will there be My Cars section where you can freely customize cars like in MW and Carbon?

Re: Need for Speed Undercover updates
Man, I loved what I saw on the video "The Job" at Gamespy. Simply amazing, though I don't really like the Renault Megane, everything looked so amazing . The graphics, the road cars, the police, the damage... and even the handling looked just like Most Wanted! And there wasn't any kind of unstable framerate problem like in ProStreet! With my computer I'll be able to run Undercover at maximum detail and decent framerate.
I think that now I can be sure that WE WILL have a great NFS again! Police, free-roam, missions, cool racing modes, MW handling style, good graphics, etc.
I just hope the tuning parts are better... Bojan, you played the game, what can you tell us? There was a good range of spoilers, hoods and other stuff? Or just the ones we saw in ProStreet? I know that we'll have about 3 bodykits per car, but what about the other parts?

Re: Need for Speed Undercover updates
i cant wait 4 dis game to come out it sure as hell shows alot of improvment since prostreet and christina millian is lookn real good in da video clips.
Re: Need for Speed Undercover updates
Bojan, will there be top speed limiter like in ProStreet (around 400 kmph or 250 mph) and frame limiter (was 30)?

So... EA Torque was lying when he said there wasn't a My Cars? Why can't those retards tell us anything direct?Bojan wrote:Yes, my cars are in. I know exactly how you feel.. finally some good tracks which seriously effect the gameplay experience.prince1142003 wrote:The music in the vids actually made my jaw drop. Also, did anyone notice at the end of the 'carmen chase' video on GameSpy, a screen popped up displaying driver skills, which had engine, transmission, nitrous, suspension, etc., and after winning that race the Engine score increased by 3%..
Does this mean cars will be modified automatically?

Re: Need for Speed Undercover updates
The screen that popped up showed the new Wheelman skills. As far as I can tell, these skills add to what you can do in the tuning shop. So the increase in the Engine score would correlate with an increased ability to tune the engine. Although how this would work with parts etc. is a bit unclear.
Of course, that was entirely speculation. EA has been very vague about what the wheelman skills actually do in the game.

EA's been vague about everything. Although believe me, I"m not complaining. By now, we'd know about a game from beginning to end.
Re: Need for Speed Undercover updates
oh my god ea you are amazing
i didnt notice any framerate issues?
hopefuly that is fixed.

Nice, but what's up with the plastic barriers on the tracks? I thought these races were unsanctioned.

TDU had plastic barriers or something like it too.. so its not that bad.
Re: Need for Speed Undercover updates
And there you are, 2006 Audi RS4 on the car lot. Meh, I would prefer the Avant version instead, since this year we're only getting sedans and the TT. I always liked the Audi A3 in Underground, Most Wanted and ProStreet, and it would be good having both the S5 and RS4 Avant. Because the RS4 and S5 are pretty much similar in body style...
This is the car I want, btw, for the ones who don't know it .
