At least post a link to the article so we can objectively review it rather than blindly comment on the fact.

I would need scans of the article to prove it.
GameRankings doesn't aggregate EDGE's scores and the only review posted there is OXM's review, which gave the game a 7.5.

7.5 is BAD, not what I've expected

Actually, I contend that this game has at least outdone Carbon and ProStreet.Fishwhiz wrote:youve never played it you don't know how bad it really is.. i don't either but im just saying
Better than those and I'm sold.
Re: NFS Undercover got a 3/10 from EDGE Magazine?!!!

Yeah, this game is nothing more than the consolidation of Pro Street, Carbon, and Most wanted. I say it HAS to be worth something, but considering the fact that NFS has a past, I dont proudly say "Undercuvver good job." They managed to concentrate 3 games into one. Im thinking they should have just made Undercuvver in the first place???

I can't exactly say I'm surprised. I think they might have focused too much on the way how the cars handle instead of the whole game play. And I can't say it's that impressive - it doesn't have the 'wow' factor.
Call them narrow minded, but truth be told, all racing games' foundation is in the handling, and if the game doesn't offer that well, then expect some bad reviews no matter how much effort they have put in the story lines and the graphics.

To be honest, for them to give 7.5 is VERY generous.vZv wrote:7.5 is BAD, not what I've expected

So true. Handling is important. Drifting in Carbon was gross.Andre_online wrote:I can't exactly say I'm surprised. I think they might have focused too much on the way how the cars handle instead of the whole game play. And I can't say it's that impressive - it doesn't have the 'wow' factor.

Have you played the latest Juiced? They are one and the same.

They have a reason to give it a 3. I played the pc version on my friend's place (he torrent) to test it out before I decide whether to buy it. The result? Here it is...
ps. he has a 9600gt, 4 gigs of ram, and a 2.67 dual core
Everything on high with 4xAA, 1024x768 resolution:
average 10~30 frame/s
Everthing on low with 4xAA, 1024x768:
average 40~50 frame/s
The car handles more like a mix of MW and 8. It drives like on rail, but the car feels lighter (like than in MW. Cops are more aggresive than MW in lower heat level. The race is same old easy even WITH catch-up. He downloaded a no-movie edition so I have no ideas about the story.
Does anyone know about Midnight Club:Los Angeles? I just LOVE that series. It's way more solid than the last 3 NFS. I now really give up my hope with EA and its NFS series. The last NFS I've played is Carbon, btw.
ps. here's a pic I took from MCLA enjoy

Noooooo! Why does this game have to suck! get it right EA, sheez how many titles do you guys need to get it right? Well I only get to go buy a copy on Friday, maybe I will like the game but I've seen some opinions on the game and they are not good so far
MCLA is great. I got it on XBOX, lots of fu and the best physics for an "arcady" racer game....

Re: NFS Undercover got a 3/10 from EDGE Magazine?!!!
According to the first reviews (based on gamerankings) we might as well buy MCLA or just play NFS MW
Official Xbox Magazine 12/25/2008 7.5 out of 10 75.0%
Gameplayer 11/18/2008 6.5 out of 10 65.0%
GamePro 11/17/2008 2.5 out of 5 50.0%
EA wont get my money this year

Re: NFS Undercover got a 3/10 from EDGE Magazine?!!!
Well here's my review and it echoes Edge. 3.5 is being optimistic at best. 2 is more like it.
Someone mentioned focus on handling. Well if all cars handles like the ones in Undercover there wouldn't be a need for High Speed response units, only Ambulances and Fire Trucks. The handling is like the lightness of MW coupled with the crap of Pro Street. The silly bobble and wobble as you turn is there (I didn't like it when introduced in U2 let alone after) and the car feels like its a paper plane rather than a car. I was so disappointed I kept playing to convince myself that it was just my imagination. Then I got the Lotus Elise (reputedly the best handling car in the world) and that's when I decided it wasn't just me. It was exactly the same as the 240SX you start with. No different even after fully upgrading it to max Street level mods. I won every race by about 10-15s (no matter the car) and always dominated the event by about 10s. Too easy even for beginners.
The graphics have all the same glitches as Pro Street (poor edging on models, textures etc...). The car Tiers are totally f******* and out of whack (Since when can a '67 GT500 be Tier 2 compared to the '67 Camaro SS at Tier 4, or the RX-8 at Tier 4 with the old Muscle?). Tier 1 should be 200mph+ club only (or similar power to weight), Tier 2 should be the high end exotic/prestige marques with high power to weights, Tier 3 should be high end tuner and mid range cars, with Tier 4 being the old Muscle and cheap entry cars (Focus, Mazda 3...).
I could go on for hours but tbh I can't be bothered, it's just not worth the effort. And to anyone who knows me I love the NFS games. I am unable to articulate how sorry I am it turned out to be a turd.

This is so ****ing ridiculous. I sat out of the series for 2 DAMN YEARS waiting for an NFS game that would set the series back on track. Undercover showed EVERY SIGN OF THAT HAPPENING. Oh, but no...no...this game SUX.
Anyone want to bet Burnout is RUINED next year?
