Hmm, I've never encountered that before throughout my NFSU2 days. Unless, of course, the AI's found some solution to trash us human racers. After all, they are pretty easy to be trashed.

I haven't had a cheating AI, it would be your difficulty on hard, lower it and your problem's solved
