Re: Bugatti Veyron
yes, the emphasis has shifted from outright speed and acceleration to 'green' cars, and ways to make people safer, both in the near future and the far.
One day, the emphasis will again shift to speed, and when that day comes, I'll be waiting...

Re:
WHAAAAAAT?!? SUVs get about the same fuel economy as sports cars (or worse, as far as I know) and SUVs are pretty useless (in my opinion) unless you routinely carry large numbers of people or amounts of heavy stuff, AND have to take it across a dirt road or something. In short, SUVs are just wasteful. And, with the Silverado, trucks are pretty unnecessary unless you use them for carrying stuff OR if they get OK fuel economy.darknight788 wrote:it seems right now people are more interested in the new silverado's and sierra's than sports cars

Or in the case of the Cadillac Escalade, if you're a rapper.
Re: Bugatti Veyron
well, the roads in melbourne are pretty much dominated by small cars and light SUVs nowadays.
By 'light SUV', I mean Honda CR-V, Toyata Rav-4 etc.
So, no SUV doesn't necessarily mean gas-guzzler

Re: Bugatti Veyron
Actually Rav4s and the like are classed as soft-roaders, completely different to an SUV really. For one thing, they do have sort of average fuel economy and for another, if we take the Escalade example again, you wouldn't see an Escalade on a bumpy dirt track really, but you would a soft-roader or 4x4. That's my opinion though.
Back to the Veyron: What was the point in the "Pur Sang" Edition?

Limited edition. Goes without body paint and I guess it's lighter in some ways? I guess it's supposed to make an even rarer car... but yeah, a Veyron IS rare enough.
Re: Bugatti Veyron
pur sang=10kg lighter+cheaper to build+rarer+excuse to build more+a way to lose less money than Volkswagen already is with each Veyron.
So, there you are
