question about editing vinyls

how do i know which vinyl i have to choose after i edit it??? also does the normal and the mask have 2 be the same?? if so how do i make them the same??

i cant get it to work at all, after i save the vinyl it doesnt work

ok guy, hope it can help you.
if you wanna change a simple vynil you must have the same number of colours (and the same colours aswell if you don't want strange colours in game). if you change a custom vynil you can put all the colours you want, with some adjustment.
make sure you save with a unique layer, the format is dds, palette argb (256c). if you go to IMAGE>ADJUSTMENTS>COLOR SUBSTITUTION you can change all your vynil colours to white to make the mask. save in the same way.
