a question i had about NFS: UG 2

Post by pantsonnos »

:D hey all just wondering if anyone could answer a question i have about nfs ug 2 ... will there be clear bonnets or the option not to have one ? cause in ug 1 they put so much effort into the engine models and you never really saw them at all.
hope some one knows something about this :D

i havent seen a clear hood, but they will open in a few diff ways, eg. double doors, or hinged at the front. i think its part of the car show type stuff, like the stereo gear and spinners.
i just looked at the new screens and 1 car had a chingy vinyl, so i guess hes on the soundtrack.

Looking forward to the demo 8)

Another thing: I've read in several interviews and comments of ppl that in NFSU2 u can tune ur car so it can match the performance of most (?) cars. So we could have a race w/ fairly equal cars. But I've been checking these screenshots out, and I hope I will still understand how to tune a car! Looks kinda difficult, cuz there's a lot u have to keep in mind: different racetypes, weatherconditions, tracks & aerodynamics, engine, transmission etc etc etc :?

Anyone else confused???

They have said the game is for everyone. For the non-tuners and the freaks. So I guess that won't be a big problem.

yeah, I'd like it if it had two tuning options, beginner and advanced. That would be great for both newbie tuners and fine-tuning freaks.

It will be in that way. EA said that there will be fine tuning to experts, and "pre-made packs" (just like nfsu1) for beginner ppl.
Anyway I think there will be 'tutorials', Im sure Rachel or the other character will teach us some things :)

lol, I'll be hitting it a lot I guess. Don't get me wrong: I'll be spending a lot of time on the dyno and in the testenvironment to see what setting can make ur car go faster. I mean, besides the mechanic innards like engine, turbo etc, what about the aerodynamics? Does spoiler X squeeze that couple of 10ths out of ur car and spoiler Y doesn't??? And how many combinations are we going to get, like couple of millions orso...?

If that is the case I'm going to buy a new coffeemachine along w/ the game

But it sure sounds good; I'm so curious...

A demo, finally, I don't care how few the weeks seperate the demo from the full game, seeing as i won't get to buy it till December a demo would be good enough for now. I really hope its true, seeing as theres a demo for ps2 and x-box, it'd only be fair to release a pc demo also @Bojan

I hope EA hasn't put a timer in the demo like the PS2 version after 15 to 20 minutes you have to reset the demo on PS2 i hope they didn't do that with the PC version of the demo

My guess is that that one has not. Only the Burnout 3 version has the timer.
