system hangs in internet game NFSHP2

Hello everyone,

after playing allmost the whole game, I want to get online now. I choose public internet game and I can see a lot of hosted games. When I want to join one the computer loads the game and when it is finished loading.... Nothing!!! Computer total hangup. HELP!!

Hope to race ya all on the internet!!!
