I was doing an outrun and the guy drove into a nook where a shop was and got lost and started to pound himself into the walls. I couldn't get the lead because I couldn't get in front of him. I had to push him out to continue. Same thing happened another time. I hit a wall and the AI just did a burnout against it. I got the lead (finally) and took off. I guess he never got off of the wall...I beat him in a few seconds. Stupid sometimes.

LOL!! I've seen the traffics bump onto each other before too! Happens very often.

yeah really often...even on the highways you can see cars going against each other...are those streets or destruction derby fields???

The other thing which amused me with the AI is when they try to turn down a junction which is vlocked off by direction arrows. They just sit there across the carriageway. Don't they twig the junction is closed?

Basically, I hate drag racing in U2. I hate it with a passion but to be able to advance there's no other choice. Well, the other problem is that I have a winning machine on every other event but the engine blows to hell just before the finish line every time I drag with it. I got so frustrated today I decided to joke around a bit and enter my hummer in one of these things, just as a goof. Now, waddaya think happened? I won! Against import sports cars no less. I think EA decided in this instance to dumb down the competition when you do a hairbrained thing like enter an SUV in a sports sedan drag race. Because I hate them so much, at the end of the level all I had left were these stupid drags so I just did them all in succession with my hummer. What a great psuedo-cheat, huh?

Here's the proof:

I thought that was pretty funny, myself. Imagine, a hummer beating these other cars in a real drag race. Maybe if it had a couple of rockets strapped to the back ...
