Let's see what's wrong with this logic of not having an anti-virus program.

1. Sure you back stuff up onto discs but how do you know that viruses don't tag along with it and infect your supposedly 'clean' install.
2. It's just stupid not having an anti-virus program in the first place regardless of which OS you use.

Finally... why are you showing that you have a warez program for?

1. Thats a risk i'm willing to take. I've done this probably 50 times and its never happend.
2.It's too much hassle

3. I didnt know it was illegal to have limewire all together. its used for other things than stealing files.

Naw, I built my own OS from scratch just so I could save a dime and not buy Windows. :)

Windows:
1. Anti-Malware software
2. Mozilla Firefox
3. Third party Firewall
4. CCleaner
5. VLC
6. 7-zip
7. Multi-protocol messaging software (like Pidgin)
8. Winamp

Linux (list made with KDE in mind):
1. KDE
2. Firefox
3. Amarok
4. VLC
5. Ark
6. Kopete

I don't use Mac OS-X, so I wouldn't know about that.

I did not include office, graphics manipulation or other specialized software. Only important software, media players, music players, browsers and messaging software.
