The 335i engine isn't avaliable on the E46 series BMW 3 series. The engine is based on a 3.0 S50 block from the E46 330i with the two small turbos strapped to it.
The 328i never had any form of forced induction as standard. It ran essentially the same engine as the more modern 330i but with less agressive cam profiles, fixed length intake tract, single VANOS and a smaller block and throttle bodies.

No it bloody isn't.
The only Twin Turbo varients of the 328i (which, bear in mind is an engine only produced BEFORE BMW started the TT malarky) are in competition cars limited to less than 3.0l displacement. They've usually been custom built (often a pair ot T60-1's or GT35R's) and put out around 600rwhp.
There are a few Twin Turbo'd E36 M3's as well, which is the same head but with a 3.2 bottom end (3.0 in some markets), variable intake and twin VANOS.
I'll repeat myself. Up until 2006 with the introduction of the E92 3 Series Coupé and 335i, BMW never produced a twin-turbocharged Petrol engine, either as an option or as standard. In fact, the only turbocharged, non-diesel (they've been building 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0 Turbodiesels for years now, and you CAN get a twin turbo 3.0 diesel) BMW car released before the E92 is the BMW 2002 Turbo in 1974.
