yeah there was a time somewhere around 1-1.5 years ago when i didn't knew much about PC's............so what do you usally think when you have a new PC and just heard about new antivirus softwares........i don't know.....but i'll tell you what i did........installed bitdefender professional plus 9 and kaspersky (wanted to install panda aswell but i gave up) because i thought...."If one antivir is good, two are even better"...........it didn't take much time to figure the fact that it wasn't that good.......I did a proper shutdown of my PC and got to sleep........but guess what.....the next day when i turned on my PC it locked up......moved the mouse........nothing......and after 10 mins.....the mouse pointer suddenly moved..... ...........I almost threw it out the window......but i talked to a friend of mine who happened to know a thing or two about PC's and told me to unninstal the antivirus softwares and put only one of them.....I didn't....I reinstalled the whole XP.....just too see how it looks to do that ......
That's the story of me and my old self.

Who's a silly goose? I know next to nothing about PCs but that is an obvious point...sorry...
And contrary to baumaxx Norton has actually kept my computer running fine. But its uninstalled now, while good ol' windows defender takes care of the security stuff. I still suffer from a couple of little niggles when I put it into hibernate. For example, Vista randomly shuts down when I put it into hibernate. Minor problem though.

yeah but i had no antivirus on my PC before that and also i had no internet connexion...........so my "database" about "what to do" and "what not to do" with antiviruses was pretty empty at that time .......but as a wize man once said........"you learn from mistakes" or something like that.........and so i did......and i also started to read much more books, magazines and what not about PC's......................and they were pretty useful as i know lots about PC's @ this timeKoenigsegg_Rox wrote:
