LOL! Another case of the USA stealing names from low-grade UK cities. In that case, IIRC the SR20 is illegal in Washington anyway due to emissions.

Also, why would you convert them to RWD unless you plan on dragging them? Theyre built with a FWD drivetrain in mind, hence the structural integrity of the chassis, the weight distribution...besides which, the 20V 4A-GE is a completely stock engine. Arguing stock Vs modified is dumb.

I don't know how strict the emissionlaws in the state of Washington are but in general the SR20DET engine is illegal, that's why the 240SX has a 2.4 engine and not the 2.0T (or the 1.8T for the S13)

But then I don't think the US have a MOT, I seen people driving around in the US in wreckes that if they where driving like that in Europe they would be pulled over and the car towed away.

They dont ban engines because of insurance. They ban them because of emissions, ie the SR20DET and the RB26DETT.

read the September issue of Sport Compact Car and it says that the SR would make inssurance too high so nissan scrapped it

Nissan ''scrapped it'' after never introducing it to the USA in the first place, and running it as a successful base engine for the best part of 14 years in the EU and JDM.

And you think all the money im gonna pay for the car comes from me? Of course not. I have a parent to depend on and 29k SGD car is a VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY cheap car here. It is a same price as a kia picanto which is by far the MOST cheapest car in singapore other than a go kart.
