The new Forum Skin makes me want to hunt someone down and choke them with my monitor. But it wouldnt fit in their tiny mouths.

Bojan said that in time we'll get some of the old features back. But unfortunately, because of the software upgrade, none of the old styles can be used anymore. So it'll take him some time to come up with a new style similar to the one we had before. Just be patient.

I agree totally with 2furio. It just doesn't make sense to read who posted after the actual post. You are basically asking us to read right to left, which isn't right.
totally agree. Maybe left=handed persons feel better with this system

So yes, even I do NOT want to exert that amount of effort but I shouldn't even have to. I don't understand why it had to be changed. Fine, I understand...the admins wanted a new look but don't move the avatar, name and all the information on the right side. Before, I used people's avatars and their names to see who posted. Now, I have to move my eyes to the right and then back...for every single post...and frankly it is annoying because I like a speedy navigation of a website...I do NOT want to waste time...and no, I won't get used to the new system because it is just atrocious.
It's not their fault or their doing. This is PHP BB's version 3 forum style. So they can't help the position of the avatar and names so don't get upset at them. Get upset at PHP BB.

I'll get upset at Bojan for making the change to the new forum system. :P

EDIT: I've been to countless forums...countless! All of them have the name/avatar on the left side. There is one car site which displays the info at the top of the post which is ok because that's the equivalent of placing it on the left. But I guess the one new system was either meant for left-handers or Asians (don't they read from right to left)? I mean, could you imagine if that car forum which displays the info at the top decided to place the info at the bottom...can you imagine how effed up that would be?! You would be confused at who wrote it. The change of info to the right is the equivalent of placing the info at the bottom of the post which doesn't make sense at all!

Bojan's said avatars are staying the way they are. In the end, it's his decision. So get used to it.

Not really, the posts are still stacked vertically on the page, and the info on the post is beside the post, not below or above it, so you can't really say, "Oh, I thought this post belonged to this other person, even though their name/avatar wasn't next to it."

Anyway, to get a similar theme as what was had before, wouldn't it be possible to just change the images for the buttons to the images used on the old forum style?

My bad, I guess I should have rephrased what I said because it seems some people are confused.

I never said that by placing the name/avatar on the right caused for a person to misinterpret who wrote the post. I said that if the car forum would move the info from the top to the bottom, it would be effed up...equally the way the info is moved from the left to the right.

And yes, having the info on the top is the equivalent of having it on the left, while having it on the bottom is the equivalent of having it on the right.

I still don't have my old sig back... can anyone help me with this problem? If this forum is going to stay like this the least Bojan could do is give us a detailed list of what has changed and how to fix certain things (Eg. sig).

While I agree the dark blue is a bit hard on the eyes, the overall style is nice. It is perfect and it is not cluttered or too busy.
