I just discovered the reason for the random crashes. In order to avoid them u gotta have an Athlon FX-876539843 , wich runs @ 78,9Thz , 80 PB RAM and u also have to remove the heatsink and fan of the cpu.Oh and u MUST NOT have an HDD or Speakers and use a trackball mouse...

Did i mention the ISA graphics card?....

what's the clock speed of Athlon 1800+???
system requirement said you need a 1.7Ghz processor.
I think FX5200 is OK, can run with some low and med setting I guess.

it's 1.53 GHz. It doesn't matter for me if the game runs in low setting, but it should run smooth to play

It'll run but you'll need to turn EVERYTHING to the lowest. That CPU is really dated the graphics card isn't that great, so don't expect much.

I used to have the FX5200 but now have a Radeon X800XT. I don't think it was a great card to be honest and struggled with most new games. I have a significantly greater gaming experience now than i did before. I would imagine it would struggle badly with NFSC.

NFSMW runs smoothly on my pc at low-mid settings, so is there any big difference in graphics of NFSMW and NFSC???

I have finished career two days ago. Today i wanted to play. So I turned on a game and it says that my career is 0% finished. Money, cars, parts are unlocked, but all of the tracks are not finished. So I started a new alias and finished first track. It said 1%. Then I turned off and turned on the game and again it said 0%. I reinstalled the game but it's the same. What to do? Sorry for bad english.

Hi, I wanted to ask for help to.... I am having issues with the video sequences that represent the story: they are very choppy and the sound doesn't fit with the videos.... Even though I had increased the page file size like it has been said in the readme file but I still have no success: it's still choppy.... Maybe somebody knows how to fix this? I would be very thankful

What specs do you have?

Posted: 11 Nov 2006, 13:16
by DonC
Here they are: AMD 1.6Ghz, Geforce 6600, 512MB ram.... Of courese it looks like that my computer shouldn's even run this game but I run F.E.A.R. in medium specs easily and the gameplay on high specs in this game isn't so bad... Just those darn cutscenes... I had the same problem with NFS MW and this really drives me crazy because it really takes me out of the experience

The CPU is not very good but the rest is alright.
Do the following:
Defragment your Dard Drive
Update your Video Drivers
Set the game GFX lower
And in the control panel of your video card set the slider to Performance
Here is an example of an ATi card:

So what should I do?

I have 3.4 GHz Pentium 4, 1 Gb RAM, GeForce FX5600. I finished the game without problems until this happened.
Sorry for bad english.

Well, I did it all that you mentioned but it still lags... But thank you for your effort.... Maybe there will be a fix for this somewhere because I am not the only one having this... Even the people with good system specs have this issue....

I seem to be having a problem when i move the vinyls around, its like they take forever to move as if i have a really bad frame rate does anyone else have this problem my specs are AMD2400+,1GB ram,160GB HDD, ATI 9600pro using Omega drivers.

Common "problem", the vinyl moving/rotating is pretty slow. It helps if you keep pressing in to direction where you want go, after a few clicks a grey place holder appears that moves reasonably fast. If you keep waiting for the game to redraw the vinyl after every press of a button it takes forever to get anywhere.

man idk why people are complaining about low fps's on high end computers, i have an "old" pc
Athlon XP 2000 1.98 ghz
512mb ram
Ati Radeon X9550 256mb 128bit

and i can get 23-30 fps at 800x600 with everything on high EXCEPT for Motion Blur which is not supported by my card and i can get this pics as proof:
