Need For Speed Carbon patch to be released

I have to say I'm awed by EA. Really. They're about to release a patch full of much needed bugfixes and features. Here's the full changelog:

* Added CD-Key check to online play

NOTE: All users must install this patch if they want to keep playing online. If they don't install it, they'll get an "Enter CD-Key" window that they'll not be able to circumvent and will have to install the patch and re-enter their CD-key.

Excited about it? Uh huh, I am too. I mean, all our problems are now solved! All hail the patch!

And before anyone says I'm talking bull, you can check the official forums over at EA. That's info actually posted by Smoothie, and edited by me, for sarcasm's sake.

EDIT: Should have read the front page, sorry Bojan. Although I don't exactly see how not requesting a CD-key is an issue for us, other than letting the servers be populated by people who didn't get the game by legal means.
