Safe Houses? (how many are there)

How many safe houses are there to find? i have only found 4 and have being driven around and can't find any more.

Well when you look at the statistics and game completion it says "Safe Houses Found" and then the number of safe houses you have found, i just want to find all there is

if you want to be sure you have them all, theres a reward card for unlocking all the safe houses, just check and see if you have it. i believe the number is 4 tho.

I have 4 and also the "Unlock all the safe houses in the game" reward card completed.

The Prima Guide map shows 5 safehouse and 5 carlots, but as you can tell, the ones in Silverton have been removed by EA for some reason.
