Widebody kit, but what about the axle's?

Post by korge »

Okay. If you installed a widebody kit on your car, the wheelset is now tucked under those fender flares.

How do you get the wheels to sit correctly under the fenders? How would you get the more GT body look so the body doesnt look overwhelming on the wheels?

You need to buy new axels. That's because the normal axels aren't made for wide bodykit right ?

Depends on the car. Some people use spacers, some people use wider axels, some people use wider wheels.

Depends. Most people don't actually bother.

New axles is too much work, money, and just overall hassle.

Tell me more bout these Spacers and how would one know if the wheels are wide enough for the right look.. Doesnt that interfere with turning?

They're essentially an adapter, you use longer bolts in them. I don't reccomend using spacers more than 40 or 45mm because after that point then the extra stress is liable to damage your axels.

I suggest spacers of 20mm + wider wheels. That means bigger surface car stands on, better grip, better handling, right ?
