Zonda R, Murcielago LP-640, GT-R SpecV, Audi TT, Lotus Elise 111 R...thats it, Audi is best in tier 1(350 Z is faster, but is not AWD, this causes it to accelerate slower and handle worse.) Lotus Elise is best in Tier 2, GT-R SpecV is not necessarily best in tier 3 but it handles great, is AWD, and quite fast. quite a good car overall. Zonda R and LP-640 are best on most tracks.
Koenigsegg CCX is fastest on that big oval track, just a little faster than Zonda R, and thats it. its slower on every other track.
for Drift, its personal preference and tuning matter, so i wont comment here. any car with Drift ability should be able to win in Career Drift Events.
Also, it seems like no matter the cars you use in each tier, you can win the game, beat NFS LIVE championship etc.
you can beat single player with just any cars, excluding American / Japan / European car requiring events
What are the best cars in NFS shift?

just noticed that R8 and Lancer Evo 9 MR Edition are quite good cars too. they are very similar just that Evo will win on short track(it has nitrous) and R8 will be better on longer tracks than Evo, because R8 is faster than Evo without Nitrous, and NOS will run out on longer tracks.

I really like the Apollo, very stable and good performer, shame it didn't have a bit more speed.
