First DLC available

First NFS: Hot Pursuit DLC available now:

That didn't take long. EA’'s released the first DLC for Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.

The two packs are timesaver packs, though. Both of them, in SCPD and racer forms, are available from Xbox Live and PlayStation Network for 320 MS points or $3.99.

Buying both means you’'ll have access to all of the cars from both sides in the game from the go instead of working for them.

The Criterion racer launched last week for PS3, 360, PC and Wii, and has already entered into number three in this weeks UK charts.
It is not really a DLC, it's just a code for the lazy players. Seriously, who will buy this just to have all cars unlocked from the start? The point of the game is to unlock new cars and events... #-o

I hope the future "true" DLCs are free and released to all plataforms, but since they charge for a simple code, I can't imagine how much a new car will cost.

They did the same thing with Burnout Paradise, but it really is pointless in this case. Nothing of interest.

Ridiculous, eh?

Monday, and the only thing from EA we get is "Unlock Everything" DLC for Hot Pursuit and some announcement about US Top Gear in world.needforspeed.com forums.

Wow, few days after release and they are already "giving" us the option to pay for cars that are in the gamefiles already.

They even are on screenshots that are all over the internet.

Lately i had a feeling that EA went back to "MONEYMONEYMONEYYYYYYYYYYYY" plan instead of "Lets actually make people WANT to buy stuff from us"
...
I looked over EA forums.

And I bet you that it's not Criterion, but EA instead, cutting the wings of Criterion...same thing happened to Slightly Mad Studios and Shift: they wanted to release mod tools for Shift but EA said: "NO" #-o

Just checked the whole SCPD rebels pack deal and as i expected, i found out this is only for PS3 and X360.

I'm waiting for people to start hacking the game on PC.

EA releases it on PC only because they want money, and as far as i know, thats the ONLY thing we will get.

Maybe a patch that will fix the game for those who can't play it and ruin it for those who can, and thats it.

I'm actually amazed the PC version supports a keyboard.
Now i should, after all, like a PC user, expect a straight 100% console port.

We got resolution options, too!

And years before things like that were a given.....

Im expecting a Ferrari DLC Only For Xbox360 Because Microsoft And EA have teamed up in their epic quest to take ALL the money in the world for themselves.

Sounds like EA is nothing but a bunch of cheapskates.

the only way ive seen the time savers pack helpful is when your save data becomes corrupt and you dont want to play through the whole game again, has happened to a few of my friends in burnout. Seemed like it was worth it for them.

doesn't ever seem worth it to me. id rather do anything in a game to get it for free than to pay for it now

But there are people that are willing to pay for it...

Easy money for EA.
They do this since Carbon in NFS games so nothing new here.
