A Q? for euro drivers
A Q? for euro drivers
i know the driver sits on the right instead of the left, but i'm curious is everything fliped?, ie. shift pattern, gas-break-clutch,signals/wipers-lights.
iv never seen the inside of a euro model, and this has puzzled me.

I think a bunch of things are other way around.... Except pedals, I think those are the same layout, but the gearshifting, and turn signal levers and all that is different. The way the lights are pointing is different as well. I speak from my Malta experience where it's just like UK.. But it's been some time, I may mix up smth, if that, sorry.
And Abrams is right - in Europe to the best of my knowledge only 2 countries are right hand drive - UK & Malta. There is Australia and Japan, and prolly some former British colonies, but I've no idea about that.... So my friend, most of Europe drives on the right side (and Brits drive on the wrong side!).

Uk drivers think the whole world drives on the left side of the road exept europe....
but actually only the UK, Aussie land, Japan and a few other countries are.
but back to the question:
not nothing is flipped everything is on the same side the only difirence is that they moved the steering wheel and pedals to the right side of the car
for brittish cars.
ignitionkey is still on right side (normal cars that is) so are the windscreen wipers and the direction lights are on the left side of the steeringwheel.
so all is basicly the same. and the gears are also:
(r)1 3 5
2 4 (r) (reverse differs per car ofcourse)
even the steering is the same... steer left and go left
but the overall feel is ofcourse difirent....If driven quiet a few UK cars here in Holland, damn anoying to go trough the McDrive....

Yes, the gears are exactly the same. I thought it was different. But seems like everything is exactly the same except of course the wheel on the other side (took me one Ford Mondeo advertising spread from CAR to be sure about it now!). Only differnce is lights, the point differently. I've read somewhere the other day on how much it costs to convert from right to left (people importing expensive Toyota Land Cruiser 100's from japan do that often I heard) ... turns to be around 4k USD, but complications can be enormous if done not professionally, as it touches the motor compartment and steering and can negatevely affect the safety structure. But you can save around 6-8k USD on some cars, like Japanes Lexus (well, whatever Toyota names they use in Japan recently - they do sell Lexus in japan now as well).

may be if it's a McLaren!
I have driven on both sides, and actually think the brish systems is better. I heard that all round abouts and the rule of the right hand originates from britain and makes much more sense there. Of course you get used to it, I don't think it's a big deal. When everyone is drving on the same side (remember!) it's very easy to get used to it.
