NFSU2 Vinyl Contest

I've found out from a reliable source, that EA will organize a Need for Speed Underground 2 Vinyl making contest. Since this hasn't been confirmed nor denied by EA officials, I'll only post this here.

The contest should start sometime soon, winners will receive a copy of nfsu2 and have their vinyl featured in the game.

There's a template for making vinyls available here:

Start making vinyls now, there won't be much time later.

I'd love to enter this one.

The description says - 16 color palette to be used. That means it's a 3 color vinyl or smth, not the fancy art work. That's tough!

When they say your vinyl will be featured in the game does that mean it will be used as an Unique Vinyl?

Grez, I like the way your offering to help, but, isn't that a bit like copying someone elses essay and then setting theirs on fire?
You should use your ideas and let us think of our own, after all if we don't design them then we don't deserve to win, really?
I don't mean to dis you or anything i'm just saying that we should do it ourselves to make it feel more rewarding.

I think it's his business to offer help.

But if someone can explain me, the idiot, how to set a pallette to only 16 colors in photoshop - (i think that rules out any fancy artwork) - I'd appriciate that advice. Because I can't find a way to set the palette to use only 16 colors (although I know which ones they are!).

Great!!! if it's true but, wtf!? The color pallette? only 16 color pallette!!??

Each individual vinyl can only use a 16 colour palette, which includes semi-transparent pixels and black and white.

So if i get it it must be 16 or what urquatro says 3 color and black and white ? May i used grey??

And send those sketches maybe i'll get inspirated by them hehe!!

When there is more info about this competition, I think we will have a better idea on what exactly they want (too many restrictions, eh?). But this is how the 16 color palette should look like:

I'm gonna wait for EA's official announcement with rules or example...
I have managed to make the palette, but manually. There has to be some option. I wish we were allowed to make a 'unique vinyl' where everyting goes. This one is too restricting..

I really want a new generation of body vinyls. But I should name it body paintings (in real life it is bicolor paint, not vinyl). Some ideas, sorry for the poor work, Im not a photoshop expert lol.

Yeah some vinyls are easy to make with patterns I made a nice one with this pattern thingy I found in Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8 .

cool work dudes, dani you've made it in five minutes but the result is good, i like it. I also like that celica, perhaps the color is a bit appearising, but the game is just that
