3DSmax isn't free though. It's actually extremely expensive (about 3x Photoshop).

But you can get this other program called Blender 3D, which is quite good and best of all it's 100% free.

My latest render. Model is fairly simple, but spent some time with the colors and reflections. Takes about five minutes to render this at production quality (to 1600x1200 res) with my 2 GHz system.

Everything... so... Shiny!

Nice work, but next time, is there a knob you can turn down on "Gloss" or something...

Heh, sure there is, but I was aiming for a really reflective style. That's actually 50% reflective on the floor and 66% on the cups...100% reflective would be a full mirror surface.

But its loooong time ago since i worked in 3D Studio MAX. To be exact, i was working with 3DS when 3DS Max v.4 came :) And it was too difficult for me so i just dropped it :) Maybe i will start again, who knows

Yeah that's nice work. I think the tires look pretty good. I'd like to see the seams between the different building blocks though (not sure if you could actually make a front lip like that, the window would need to be a custom part, but okey, those exist)

Looks real nice. Though I'd like to see more of the landscape texture. How about something in daylight?
