[NFSU2] Menu Graphics Problem

All menu graphics, including text are resized versions of the current background image. Making the game unplayable. I've taken numerous routes through the options and gotten either no where or crashed the game.

Latest Patch, latest DirectX9.0c, latest Video Drivers.

Using a Nvidia TNT2.

i think minimum requirements is at least geforce 2

Yeah I know... I just lost my second Geforce2 card a little over a month ago and I'm now left with a TNT2 32mb. As loosely stated on the support section of the NFSU2 site, ATI Radeon 7500+ and GeForce2+ are the qualified cards for running the game; not an absolute requirement as stated on the box.
Replies I've had from other players suggest that this problem has been solved by some people, I just cant find out how. (Buy another GFX card? I'd love to, but I have bills to pay).

All i could suggest would be to fiddle with drivers really. Try different version and maybe even the new beta drivers.

The only other possibility i can think of is to tinker with options for your graphics card, but i would recommend getting a new card. Maybe ask for one for christmas
