What do you recomend for the starter car?

Got NFS:U 2 for xmas and i was wondering what everyone thought was the best car to start with.
Also what would you recomend moving onto for a next car?

i presume you live in UK so i say the 106 is best and you wont get better till l8r on with the toyata celica.

Every car's 'good' against the AI. I'd say 240SX, but you could easily make due with anything else.

first time round i started with the 240sx then to the lexus then to the RX8

the secontime round i started with the 240sx then swaped to the MX5 and finished the game in the MX5

ever noticed that you can't NORMALLY get the Civic AND the 106???

only if you get changed savegame!

and it aint fun to start the game without the real start for the first time is it?

106 is a very good car but not very good at drag races.

i was using the 106 decided to get a car with better acc and top speed the A3, its got shiznit handling. So i got the TT which is better allround than the 106

go for civic first..ae86 is great only if u hv all the lvl 3 parts unlocked (too easy to win street-x races with it)

i started with the ae86 and then got the rx8 (the best in street x) then finished it with the mustang. I heard the celica is good two though

hey stig, u dont use them both silly, u inly use the civic becuase the peogeot or whatever sucks really bad, and on level 3 could lose to a level 2 civic

lol... I never used the 106. I got the US version and the EU version and I use the EU version now the US is a borrowed one... used it before EA send me the Euro version.

now I use the US version for the savegame... I created with the civic and the RSX

Hmm - well, I've always done things differently, so here goes:

Starter car - Vauxhall Corsa.

Erm, I've nearly completed Level 4 the second time round - and I'm still using the Vauxhall Corsa. Lost a couple of drag races, due to me shifting too early/late. Won every other race. Best StreetX car of the lot IMHO (if properly tuned).

If you want to change, Hyundai Tiburon or Audi TT for the middle of the game - I've just bought an A3 this time round, still stock and not used at the moment due to lack of funds - and am now regretting it after what you said - ho hum!!

SUV races - I'm using the Lincoln Navigator - cos it looks slightly better than the other two hideous buses. Used the Escalade last time - Navigators kicked its bumbum!!!

And I completed the game last time round with the Vauxhall Monaro, whoops, Pontiac GTO I mean. 240mph+ on the Dyno. It does like to spin out though. I hope that NFSU3 has the new 6.0litre Vauxhall Monaro VXR instead of the GTO for the UK version!

yippy lets have a General Moters fight... wich brand makes the best Identical car...

in other words STFU about it... Aussies like the Holden version, USsies the Pontiac and the Britties the Vauxhall...

THEY ARE ALL THE SAME CAR with some touches... yeah the new Vauxhall got a new 6 Litre engine but overall they are the same car.

Starting car depends alot on your personal preference if your a ricer and simply like style choose the Civic if you want the best performing choose the 240SX if you love handling choose the Miata etc..My choice was the 240SX and kept it until i unlocked the Supra.

I've played only two times. First time, I got a Nissan 240S, didn't save. Second time, grabbed a Toyota Corolla GTS, did save, and that's where I am now. The Corolla turns better, and in my opinion is an all around better car. If I were you, I'd take it.
