laggy!
1. For gaming, AMD > Intel
2. I bet you think you have the total pwnage gfx card, but it's not right. 6800LE is the worst model of 6800 series.
3. Everything max? Do you mean 1600x1200 and total AA/AF and improved contrast?
mmmhm.... I get 2fps with everything max at 1024, so 25fps @ 1600x1200 is awesome, you should be happy.

Hmm, I'm playing NFSU2 a 1600x1200 with full AA/AF and all effects except motion blur and seems to run smoothly (it won't allow motion blur at that res, propably because my gfx only has 128MB of memory, though I would not want to use blur anyway). Haven't checked the FPS though. Is there an option somewhere in the game to see it?
Juiced runs fine too with the same res/full settings.
Oh, AMD XP 2400@2.0GHz, 6600GT AGP 128MB, 1024 MB RAM

Uhm, what? I'm not worried about anything. I was just guessing as to the reason why motion blur will not enable at 1600x1200 (the option is choosable, not greyed out; it just doesn't do the blur effect at 1600x1200), I'm thinking that particular effect at that resolution runs out of graphic memory. I'm only guessing though.
Anyone have 256 MB card (or more) and capable of testing the game at 1600x1200. To see if blur is available if there is more graphic memory?
Not that I really care. I think the blur effect is odd and stupid anyway. I would not use it even if I could (I have tested it at lower resolutions).

But it should be running better than 20-25 fps.The Gravedigger wrote:big difference in polys per car in nfsu2... compared to juiced

You can download Fraps to check your framerate in games. It allows you to make screenshots too.vellu wrote:Haven't checked the FPS though. Is there an option somewhere in the game to see it?
Might test it after a Windows reinstall, which is soon. NFSU2 isn't working properly since I moved all the data over to a new HD.vellu wrote:Anyone have 256 MB card (or more) and capable of testing the game at 1600x1200. To see if blur is available if there is more graphic memory?
BTW, 6800GT @ slightly higher than Ultra speeds.

Thanks for the tip. I checked; runs at about 22-28 fps@1600x1200 with everything but blur. Quite enough for a racing game, atleast in my eyes. For a first person game, this would propably not be enough though. Then again, I rarely play such games, and even if I did it doesn't have to run at this high res...PSZeTa wrote:You can download Fraps to check your framerate in games.
