The fastest I've been driven was about 120 km/h (74.5 MP/h) in a highway in Indonesia. :)

I can't really say, because any time I've driven irresponsibly fast (or at least, excessively breaking the speed limit), there's always been a distracting fear of getting caught.

Speaking of bears... My father and I once almost hit a bear on the road. Wasn't a fullsized bear though. Funny thing was it was in a semi urban area near the coast line (1km away).

Why dont we change the poll to "What is your opinion when you hit a bear at the estimatable speed that guarantees you a big speeding ticket"

I love speed, especially in non-life threatening situations like in games! I like driving fast, but not insanely fast, just like 5-10mph above the Speed Limit :D

Really? While not specifically addressing your post, I guess I was expecting a lot higher speeds from people on this forum.... or at least people lying about their speeds

90mph is usually the average speeds of cars between Las Vegas and Los Angeles on the weekends (~145kph)(speed limit is 70mph/112kph) And the road is only a two lane (each way) interstate The police usually dont even bother to pick anyone of of a crowd traveling that, but if you are a lone vehicle traveling ~85mph... they will usually cite you. (A good reason to have a good radar detector)

I guess I can understand those that still live at home or do not have their own vehicle, but seeing some of the pictures people claim to be their cars in other posts I was expecting to see much higher speeds. I Just find that interesting.

The driving in the US amazes me every time I go there
your on a highway with like 25lanes and still everthing is going 70mph and I feel like aaaaaaaaaaaah move it already I walk faster then that... half the people are driving slower then 70, I still wonder why people do that?

Here in The Netherlands the official max speed is 120kmh but on average people drive 130 on the highway (here 2lanes each side is normal, and 3 lanes is considered a big highway :P)
and it isn't uncommen that someone drives 150kmh or more but that is mainly on times there is hardly any traffic (hard so drive that fast with alot of cars on the road
But in the US almost everybody is doing 70mph or less...

My personal favorite is still the German Highways, simply perfect. If you want to drive fast and can (open road) you can do it (not on all highways)
perfect place to test the topspeed of your car.
Germancarbrands didn't put a speedlimiter at 250kmh for nothing

Last night I experienced my first street drag, from light to light.

And I think it's safe to say that I like speed :P

Heres a sad fact about America's highway system:
-They are only 1/3 as thick as Germany's autobahn
-There are less accidents
-There are more frequent gas stations that are generally cleaner

But even with these drawbacks, they arn't as bad as Canada's highway system
