And some more of the Saeidi's Visual Observations of EA's "Amazing" Details Newsletter
- 1. I never knew that the Lamborghini has the same engine volume as a Cobalt (Hey in real life, Lambo's are pretty louder)...
2. And now, these CARS SOUND THE SAME:
Cobalt & Cadillac
Murcielago & Gallardo
Porsches (All)
SL500 & CLK 500

Stockwise the Gallardo and the Murciélago don't sound the same, tuned yes but EA can't know how a maxxed out Gallardo and Murciélago sound.. cause NO ONE HAS ONE!
The Gallardo has a V10 and the Murciélago has a V12...
so all porsche sound the same... have you even heard the Carerra GT? cause the V10 doesn't even closely sound like the boxer engines from the 911's and the Cayman.
Logically that the SL500 and the CLK500 sound the same.. they have the same ENGINE!
but tuned they do not sound the same. the SL has a supercharger and the CLK a turbo and you can hear the diffirence.
I haven't tested the CTS stockwise so I have no Idea how it sounds.

The sound of the stock gallardo is really close to the real sound of the car. EA published a movie with the real sounds and the game sound of the Gallardo and the Carerra GT. and they sound pretty damn close to the real deal.Saeidi wrote:I see TheStig, but what is so strange is that Lamborghini's sound different in every NFS so, I really do not know which sound is the real one...
older NFS games are not close to the sounds, they sound system they used and recordings they used where not even close to the systems they use now for MW.
In HP2 the Ferrari 360 spider sounded weird... it did sound cool in a tunnel... most cars sounded the same or just weak...
The RX8 and RX7 sound diffirently stock and tuned.

yeah....that's right. I totally agree with you TheStig. But I want to know if the Murcielago's sound is real as well, since it sounds exactly the same as the Gallardo...in the game that is. But I don't know about it in real life. If you look closely in the sounds trailer, you will see that they record not only a Gallardo but also a Murci in a picture shown....let me see where I can get it. Here it is:
EDIT: OMG, what is that Diablo doing there?

I will let you in on a little secret, We will post a list of pictures we got from one of our contacts at EA where you can see how they recorded the game and what cars they recorded.
I can't tell you why the Diablo is in the pictures (is also in the pics we got from EA) but there are alot of cars that are recorded in real life.
if you try a stock Murciélago against a stock gallardo you will notice it does sound diffirently. the engine is more high pitched then the Gallardo's engine. but both are caracteristic for a Lamborgini they are both build on the same specs and in the same style so the chance that they sound alike is big. even though one is a V10 and the other a V12. the V12 from the diablo has also the same style as the V12 in the Murciélago
It could well be that they used a Diablo VTTT (the VT twin turbo) for the Turbo sound mixed with the classic lamborgini sound.
But I am not sure about that but I can ask for you.

did you really expect that they would use special sounds for traffic cars... record from real minivans etc
