Select a relatively big brush size, set it to black color, opacity to 20-30%, select your mesh to limit the shadowing only to the mesh texture and just shadow it using the brush

you should blur him out a teeny tiny bit. the rain would somewhat blur him out and not make him look so sharp.
looks like the regular costume to me :-/
the symbiote costume doesnt have any lines.. its smooth
and this doesnt have that big white spider on it either

well, this is the movie, and not the comics, lol... things are going to be different.

anyways, if you look at the trailer it's kinda obvious that that's the symbiote costume.

we're getting way off topic....

Me = Bored

BTW, I found a good way to do radial blur on angled wheels. Normally when you do it, itlooks kind of weird because the shape you're blurring isn't a perfect circle. So what you do is cut out the wheel, stretch it so it's a circle, then do radial blur. After that, compress back to it's original shape and voila!

Select (with a lasso tool of some sort) around the car, and then hit ctrl+shift+i for an inverse selection, and go from there.

ah, the infamous "crop the car out" technique. guess i'll be switching to photoshop for that. i normally use paintshop pro, i find its features less complicated than photoshop though photoshop has much more powerful tools.

@SliM_880: Cool, some small details I'd like to see fixed.
The reflections on the front window from the stock gullwing-doors.
Sideskirt looks really flat.

FB and reflection on the ground are top work 8)

This was somethng I'd been working on for that Splash Page comp, but after I seen Ryu enter his in, I decided against it. The entry I shoved in was just as back-up, and a mere 20 minute job.
Will finish it off sometime, but... I guess it wont be winning me any competitions :p

(no tutorials used or what-not, just pure mind's own working)

After 2 hours, this is what I came up with.
Got to here and looked at the thread to see, unfortunately, that Ryu had the same idea (more or less).. So just scrapped entering this one.
