Wheelies?

Post by MitziBark »

I'm not sure i know what you need to do to make one? and be passably good at it...Nos before you release the clutch at the start? Tweaks in set-up? Stage 3 or 4 parts?
True, i only tried once but a tip or two about it would be most welcome!

Thanks in advance!

Not to encourage not using the search button... what you need to pull wheelies is merely a RWD (muscle) car. A viper can pull wheelies stock.. Supras pull wheelies as soon as you put some cash into them. Parts to upgrade are engine and turbo .. the two things that give you more brute hp. I'd slap on a new tranny as well.. helps the engine rev. If all goes well, all you need to do at the beginning is jamming the throttle wide open and hitting the shifts. If the car has enough power, it will translate into enough torque that the car WILL wheelie right from the beginning. Don't try to hit the sweet spot. Just hold the throttle wide open. Once you're launched, just shift gears when you redzone. When your nose starts to go down, shoot in the NOS, and it will go right back up for as long as there is NOS =). Enjoy one of the dumbest and most senseless competitions in the history of mankind :P..

My 1000 hp supra couldn't do it which I bought just for the wheelie comps.. sold it, made a huge loss... put a spoiler on my infinity G35 (600hp) and I can do 410m wheelies... so, put a spoiler on, lol. And it's fastest quater mile was 7.33s.

Are you kidding me? I had to downgrade my supra's tranny to lvl 2 to keep it from wheeling all the way.. even then, it still has a tendency to nose up..

Here's how I tuned my Supra to do wheelies:

Suspension, Springs, Shocks, Rollbars, all Stiff
Cam Timing all the way to the right
Start Boost near the left
End Boost near the right
Nitrous all the way to the right
Final Drive Gear Ratio Short

If I can get the shifts right, I can easily do 1000m+ wheelies.

whatever you do, in a wheelie compitition don't start in 2nd.
You have to start in neutral, rev as hard as possible, and then shift to first.

Then, just keep redlining and using Nos and you're all set. 8)

Does anyone know, what if you and your opponent get exactly the same wheelie distance? Does it count as a draw, or is it first across the line?

It may be academic, but i just wanna know...

If you finish with an equal score, you will lose because the game hates you. :(

It's the same as in all other race modes: if you get the same score as another opponent, the other opponent gets a higher ranking than you.

man, that is really bad.

has that ever happened to you?

It's happened to me one, in drift. Also, is it possible to get a 5th/6th gear in a Chevelle SS?

Coz I only have 4 gears, and it revs kinda slow...
