Re: Better car at drifting?
nah, the RX-8&RX-7 are good for noob drivers who can't tune, and AE68 is for people who can put in the time to tune their car, and the 350Z is effortless.
If you're a great drifter, try the Chevelle SS...

Yeah... rx-8 takes no effort to make competitive, but it feels as if you're always undesteering.
The 86 takes tuning, but feels like a part of you.

Re: Better car at drifting?
i've used the corolla with stage 3 parts... its gotten me through to drift king.
Re: Better car at drifting?
no offence, but if ur going to save cash by getting a corolla, u don't need stage 3 parts. U need stage 2 tops.
One car that u NEED power on is the RX-7, where although it can drift, you don't get enough points...

Re: Better car at drifting?
i think E92 is good you need some tuning and the car can be a good drift car. RX-7 is the best car so far I think

Re: Better car at drifting?
E92 = 12,000 points. However, ti is a bit light and the handling is a bit slippery, and I tend to lean towards the heavier cars for drift.
Re: Better car at drifting?
WTF! How the firetruck do you manage 12,000? I can barely make 7000! ( And i've got a RX-7, but not akimura's. Had to sell it to get a better drag car)

Re: Better car at drifting?
same as almost everyone has mentioned so far:
rx-7 (easy tuning...high scorer) although I don't think it's noobie because it wins easily...it's more about how you handle the car. "It's not the ride, it's the rider".
350z (handles good, high scorer)
skyline - this is actually a bit of a surprise for some of you but I just love the soubd of that engine and I think it handles good as well. Bear in mind that it's not about horsepowers in drifting...

Re: Better car at drifting?
Um, the Skyline can't drift (although it probably could in real life) because it's all-wheel-drive.
Re: Better car at drifting?
yeah, i was about to mention that as well...
Are you talking about Carbon or Prostreet?

350Z? Mine didn't do good on long tracks, that's why I ditched it for my E92 (which i plan to re-design...)aryamen wrote:350z (handles good, high scorer)
Don't crash into anything, that's pretty much it. I also go into corners on Ebisu drift tracks too fast for my own good, which sometimes nets me 3,000 in one go. I always go in fast-in, slow-out... depends on the speed I went in at.Striker94 wrote:WTF! How the firetruck do you manage 12,000? I can barely make 7000! ( And i've got a RX-7, but not akimura's. Coincidence that I got a 12,000 score at the same place you did, huh?Koenigsegg_Rox wrote:Yeah, that's where I got my 10-grander.
OFF-TOPIC: Any tips for re-designing the visuals of an E92? My current scheme sucks.

Mine does and again it's different from people to people.Racing M3 GTR wrote:350Z? Mine didn't do good on long tracks, that's why I ditched it for my E92 (which i plan to re-design...)aryamen wrote:350z (handles good, high scorer)

In life go as fast as you can, cut corners and cheat, if you crash and burn too bad!
Re: Better car at drifting?
Used Akimura's car, got 8000 for once...
Anyway, I figured out a new one - S15, with full stage 3.

Re: Better car at drifting?
Agreed. Also, my Tier 2 Silvia (stage 3s except brakes and transmission) hasn't let me down; it's the car I used until I got Aki's car. And, if you can get it, the drift-able Evo is pretty nice as well (but you can't save any customization on it for some reason )scorchex wrote:LOTUS ELISE

Re: Better car at drifting?
No offence mate, but on your console, I really doubt you can unlock the drift EVO. On your friend's computer, it is possible. I don't know the codes, but the car exists. Pretty much only good for drift though - last time I checked (and that's not the one Ryo drives in the Showdown King Challenge), the thing only had 650-700 HP, and even then it is not that stellar. My Cayman hits 12,000 pointer scores, there's the Supra for drag (although it serves as a pretty good speed and drift car too) and the 911 Turbo eats the Speed and Grip. 911 GT2, if you don't mind wasting extra cash, is good for speed if you don't mind the uber low gearing, even with all gear ratios set to high.Striker94 wrote:what?
