Re: You favorite MUSCLE car
Is this thread entirely necessary? It hasn't been locked yet, so I guess the mods are fine with it, but still...
Anyway, my answer is either the Pontiac GTO 6.0L / Monaro CV8 or the new fifth-gen Chevrolet Camaro SS/RS.

Shelby Cobra 427 SuperCharged
2010 Camaro
Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR
Dodge Viper GTS Coupe
Dodge Charger 1969
Ford Performance Vehicles F6 Typhoon (yes, it's a V6, but it sure beats the s*** out of those V8 Falcodores...)
Saleen S302 Extreme
Ford GT (More like a supercar, but I'd class it as a muscle car)

Re: Your favorite MUSCLE car
Hmmm, nobody said the Pontiac Firebird (which I happen to like)
Out of some on the newer ones, Mustang SS, ZR1 (not sure if it's a real muscle) or maybe a Saleen like Koenigsegg said...

Re: Your favorite MUSCLE car
That's really good for you, but I think that you can read the topic title - your FAVOURITE muscle car
Not your favourtie type of cars
Not do you like muscle cars
Not post random comments
It's your Favourite muscle car
Actually, I'm not sure if you can read or not.
Anyways, these days too many so called "muscle cars" car either becoming too focused and turning into supercars, or just not living up to the name, like IMO the new Mustang. Seriously, a V6 with less power than a Falcodore? No real suspension? At least Saleen has managed to force some chast hair onto the Mustang...

Re: Your favorite MUSCLE car
The Stang has less power than Falcodores to begin with. The F6 Typhoon would be able to beat it in a straight line. As for the GT500 probably not.
Re: Your favorite MUSCLE car
Eh, even the GT500 is only any good in a straight line.
...As is almost any other muscle car.

Re: Your favorite MUSCLE car
No I'm adamant that the only decent car we've ever made here in Australia is the F6 Typhoon. Which you Americans can't have. Suckers...
The F6 is the only Aussie car that I've seen that is actually able to take a corner without loads of tyre smoke combined with 99% sideways! Apart from the 380....but...uh...

As I've heard, it's not exactly the easiest car to be tamed.xHaZxMaTx wrote:Eh, even the GT500 is only any good in a straight line.
Re: Your favorite MUSCLE car
That's why you need a SS... (jokes)
Anyway, the F6 is very good, but IMO the Redback Spider is the ultimate Aussie car.
Does a Corvette count as a muscle? How about the Dodge Viper ACR? W427? But the best classic is the Chevelle SS

Re: Your favorite MUSCLE car
The Redback Spyder is uberpwnage in pics and on paper, but I've seen it in the metal and I don't like it...mainly the front...the back looks like a kickass 80's Group C car but the front completely ruins it.
Muscle car to add to the list: 1957 Chevy Bel-Air/Nomad.

Re: Your favorite MUSCLE car
I wouldn't really consider the Corvette a muscle car. Personally, when I think muscle car, I think Chevy Camaro, Pontiac GTO, Ford Mustang and whatnot. To me, the Corvette is more of a sports car.

Re: Your favorite MUSCLE car
I don't know.. The grunt of the V8 the Corvette produces makes sense altogether that indeed, it is a muscle car. I mean, compare that engine sound to, say, a Ferrari.
It's just different. Just my 2 cents..

Re: Your favorite MUSCLE car
Yeah, but a Corvette (at least the ZR1 and Z06) can handle properly, not like a drunk on drugs (like some cars without proper suspension...)
But what about a Viper? Is that a muscle? If it is, what about the ACR?
