Well... ordering my new rig tomorrow. Need a hefty rig for engineering work, some gaming, media duties, photoshop and some video editing, and I need it to last me. I'll hold onto it for a while, this one is 5 years... but hopefully this one is better chosen, will work well and survive for longer without faliure. The CPU and mobo are high end for the future, stuff is better quality now so it won't crap itself and die. GFX are fine for now... heck a 9600GT is ok ATM, gaming not the top priority with study, but will see some action. But yeah, from what I've seen, the 260 is good value for money and gets excellent performance. It's the one part that's most likely to be replaced... possibly the only one , lol, so no need to spend up big when next gen cards or 2 gens time something better and cheaper is out.

And the UD3R/P/etc. series are great motherboards, I have a EP-45-UD3P and it's a charm. I was a little worried when I installed a Xigma cooler for the CPU, because the motherboard began to bend as I installed it. No worries, though. It all works fine.

Woot, I'm getting Rock Band 2 tomorrow. Or really I'm getting Rock Band instruments. I already bought the game cause it's one of the only copies in Australia and it would have gone hella quick had I not have bought it. Overall, 320 bucks well spent.

200 bucks for the instruments, 120 (standard price here) for the game. And this is AUD everyone

however my sister (who is getting the instruments for me, owes me a favour) has found a deal for the guitar, drums and mic for AUD140. Bargain.
