help!! looking for best car
hey you guys so looking for the best car that tuned to the max will be at or under the 14.00 car rating. i currently have a camero ss and its works converted, but its slow and gets beat, quick tuned everything at 50
Re: help!! looking for best car
These guys know their stuff and are currently trying to find out the same thing in this thread. Admittedly their track choice (tight and twisty Autopolis Lakeside) may not be ideal, but still I'm keeping an eye on the proceedings to see what comes of it.
Re: help!! looking for best car
I would say that GT-R SpecV upgraded to right below 14.00 is the best all-rounder. I don't remember exactly which upgrades I omitted, but I remember it made a world of difference when I got the weight reduction and took away two other upgrades.

for tier 1, full upgraded Audi TT is the best, it's even beat some of full upgraded tier 2 cars..

The TT may be fastest, but on a track with lots of crests and dips it bottoms out, usually sending you spearing off into the armco.

It can be tuned to compensate that.... the default settings are far too snappy/low.steelsnake00 wrote:The TT may be fastest, but on a track with lots of crests and dips it bottoms out, usually sending you spearing off into the armco.

Still looking for optimal, so not quite yet...GT3x24x7 wrote:Care to submit your setup?vellu wrote:It can be tuned to compensate that....
But, to address instablity at bumbs and crests I suggest the following (for TT, perhaps for others aswell):
Rule of thumb: softer springs give greater grip and a more forgiving chassis. You want springs as soft as possible without the car bottoming out from the bumps. So:
1) Soften springs (to about 366/255 F/R).
2) Raise ride height to allow more spring travel (to about 95/115 F/R)
Drive a few laps and see if it still bottoms out. If not, it's safe to lower the ride height a bit, and test again.
This will NOT make the TT a rally car, but should make it less twitchy on bumpy/undulating tracks.

Re: help!! looking for best car
its not about sophisticated setup, coz that will be different for each circuits and will be different results too for each setup in the same circuit (that's what i believe)..
Its about default setup which is generally most people use it in every circuits..

Re: help!! looking for best car
Indeed, but I was answering to a specific question (tt problems on bumpy sections). On the other hand. By definition, a good setup CANNOT be the same for all tracks if you really want to shave your lap times.
