Game Glitching.
Game Glitching.
Guys, need a bit of help here as game is installed and works fine. My only problem is that when choosing to use bumper cam the graphics on the screen start glitching and can't work out why it happens. I have a pentium 4 3.06ghz, 520mb ram and using a geforce 4 card. By rights it should work fine but can't at the moment race the way that I have in all the other nfs games. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Master M, thanx for the suggestion but actually have 10.3 gig of free hard drive space which rules that out but beats the hell out of me as to why the graphics glitch in the bumper mode.
Stereo, you know me, around everywhere including your forum. My system has 520 ram and a geforce 4 card (think its 64mb if correct). What's your setup in display for the game if it ain't too much to type which may actually show me where I am wrong.
Got another problem which is the speed2.exe. At times the no cd patch i installed works and then the next it won't saying would I like to send a report off to microsoft. I hate having to pu the bloody cd in all the time and wanna play without stuffing around. Anyone suggest a good no cd patch that also cuts out having to watch the chic talk all the time???

sorry should have mentioned that its a nvidia geforce 4 mx 440. It also says under the display adapters of device manager another being intel (r) 82845G graphic controller (whatever that is??).
sometimes the game won't load, is that because i installed the game without deactivating norton 2004 before installation. I have disabled it whenever going to play but get kicked back to keyboard saying that an error report can be sent to microsoft. I know that I am using a no cd patch because am tired of repeatedly getting disc stuffed after leaving them lying around. Can you possibly recommend a reliable no cd patch that works properly and removes the intro with the chic..

ok, we know how temperamental ea games are with cards such as mine which is designed to handle the game as I was told by the company I purchased if from. In all the other games patches have been made up to rectify such issues but as of yet i haven't seen any done for underground 2. Anyways, I guess there has to be a options function which can at least make the glitching reduce when racing. Bigger issue at the moment is that the no cd patch I installed won't allow me to enter the game as windows keeps saying it causes error reading and wishes to send reports to microsoft. Any suggestions for fixing this?????

Just a thought, your mobo might have an integrated graphic card on it? (easily checked, is there an additional monitor connector in the back of your box?)Rogue wrote:sorry should have mentioned that its a nvidia geforce 4 mx 440. If so, you could check your BIOS settings, whether it can be completely disabled. It however should automatically disconnect when a "real" graphic card is plugged in. Windows still seems to detect it though (if that is, what that is of course).
I have had a look at the back of the pc and found that there are two connections for the monitor, one being for the new card and the other for the integrated setup. How do I go about checking to see whether it is properly disconnected and if not how do I do it??? I don't know a great deal about pc's.
