NFS Pro Street, for real ?
Our member Yabol posted some scans of the polish version of PLAY magazine on our boards, what is interesting is that one of the screens in the article shows an Audi RS4 with the word PRO STREET written on its license plate.

Additionally, the same RX-7 shown in the teaser is shown in the scans of the mag:

Also Yabol provided us with some information from the article, here is a list of what the mag included:
- Pro Street is an official name.
- There will be medals for damaging car in specified places.
- First 3 levels of damage don't disturb in driving.
- Autosculpt is back, and it's more precise.
- Tracks in whole world.
- No categories in races ( i mean 70 hp car can race 400 hp car).
- 28 makes of cars, Honda is back.
- Cars are from about '60s to present.
- Only 8 exotics.
- 4 types of races - closed circuits, drift, speed challenge and drag racing.
- You don't have to win all races, you have to be first in general clasification ( like in URL).
- You can turn off abs etc.
- The game will be much more real.
We still dont know whether these information are just rumours or facts, we still have to wait for this Thursday to come before we can know.

@kimd41 there isn't said there isn't free roaming anymore so that isn't true what u say...
IMO all sounds great I hope it will have the honda S2000 and I don't like exotics too much so that's Ok,
BUT we don't know if it's true, and it isn't officialy anounced yet I'll wait till 31-05-2007 before I will start dreaming about the New NFS, because that's the date EA will anounce something..... as seen in the new trailer

Check this out!
Seems like EA reserved the domain name nfsprostreet.com back in november 2006.
More and more evidence points towards this name for the next NFS title. Nevertheless I am still skeptical.

i will not buy this game if there arent any cop chases or free roam period. why cant EA learn to get it right we want cop chases we want free roam we want more exotics. cant they work off of MW like take the cop chases from MW and the car list from carbon and a nice big city (or island) and blend them all together with day/night
People don't want the same stuff, you know... I don't like the cop chases in MW. I got no problems with having cops in the game, but there was just too much. Free roam is nice tho.darknight788 wrote:i will not buy this game if there arent any cop chases or free roam period. why cant EA learn to get it right we want cop chases we want free roam we want more exotics. cant they work off of MW like take the cop chases from MW and the car list from carbon and a nice big city (or island) and blend them all together with day/night
If it's just track racing... Isn't this just Gran Turismo with more visual customization? I've been wanting more detailed performance parts and tuning like in Gran Turismo, though. Maybe engine swaps like FM? what's everyone's opinion's on being able to do this. there's a catch though - being able to cross-manufacture swap. example: LS1 into a 240Z.

Well all of these pics and information sounds like they are trying to be with Forza 2 coz for example on Grand Turismo there is no ABS Brakes option.. (i don't think there is) and then on Forza 2 you have the option and then also the customization but that always been in NFS but still you look were the decals are and on forza 2 you can do exactly the same thing and yeah thats my opinion
when they say only 8 exotics, do they mean only 8 brands of exotics, or only 8 models of exotics?
then again i dont care, i dont think exotics are meant for heavy tuning. save it for a game without much customization.

You got some good points, I also prefer a good closed track system then a bad free roam like in Carbon and U2.YaelDjiel wrote:i couldnt give a rats bumbum if it doesnt have freeroam, i'd prefer a proper closed track racer to a crappy one with freeroam
and as Morty said, we dont want the same thing over and over and over and.... etc
But please tell EA we don't all want the same cause they clearly haven't figured that out since the first Underground, the only one of the 4 that jumped out was MW.
BTW if it's going to be called Pro Street then I'm not liking the name very much. sounds more like a sports game, something like a soccer game orso not a racing game, it doesn't sound like a arcade street racer neighter a SIM.
IMO NFS revolution would even be better name, sounds pretty catchy (website already exists but is a fansite.)
