Couldn't resist.

Drag, track, cruiser, JDM hell even drift. Chop it up the way you like it.

Follow all the chop comp rules and you'l be sweet. If its been done before let me know, I'm a little drunk right now.

Remember to include:

Code: Select all

FINAL ENTRY
Comp runs until next Thursday unless otherwise stated.

Time to get chopping.

Haha, niiice. I thought about doing the last chop comp with a picture of my Prelude. Didn't think there would be much of a turnout. We'll see though... And you know I'm down! 8)

First of all... the idea "Oh i know what, lets chop my own car" is LAME!
Second... the photo is terrible, full of unwanted trees reflections n stuff. Brushing all that would take hours and hours so all my ideas for it were dead.
Third... i dont like this car

but still... i tried my best... and here it is
WIP

How am I supposed to compete with that? nice work :D

My photoshop is being mean (I have version 4 and Windows XP, which is not a good combination) so I'm having some trouble. It keeps crashing.

How often do you see it, it gives me a great visualisation of how other people would like it too look, as well as serving the nessacasy purpose of providing the chop comp.

A challenge is always good and put it this way, if the reflections make it difficult for you, it is difficult for others too. Most of the other chops have been showroom quality or alike, its good to mix things up. If your reffering to actual photo quality, its just another challenge to get your new parts distorted a bit to suit.

Awwa what a shame. I wasnt all that keen on the G35, or the 206, or the Swift and so on, the point is to make it look cool by altering the image that you don't like for a first off.

Now thats over nice start race_invader, looking forward to Andreaz also.

Look into resetting the preferences files by deleting it and runnning photshop again, works wonders when my PS7 acts up.

Not gonna work, probably; it works fine for other stuff, but I had to change a setting to get it to work in the first place (I had to turn down the amount of RAM that the cache uses; it just wouldn't load ANYTHING otherwise) and you also have Photoshop 7, which might make things different; but in this case, it should work for both versions assuming I didn't have the cache levels problem. Besides, the interface for newer versions of Photoshop scares me... I can't find anything.

EDIT:
@ TS-X: I wasn't going to say anything, but...

...no comment. I'm still not going to say anything about that car.

@ race_invader: one thing though, the headlights look too big and it's also too obvious the donated hood came from a blue car rather than a red one. Other than that, nice work. :D (But it is a work in progress, so I guess you are going to work on that and you probably already know about that.)

Don't get too harsh hes actually doing pretty well for a first chop. Possibly the best wheel transplant I've seen on a first.

Looks pretty good, so far, Jop, though I would suggest upping the contrast on the body of the car to define shading and the space between body panels and doors, etc.

Hmmm. Didn't think of that. Thanks for the tip. :)

My idea was to erase very lightly between all the space between parts or just brushing a bit of black/gray between.
