ads on forum

Post by Bojan »

I've added the network adcode to this forum too. Unfortunatly ads are the thing that keep the network (Edgenetwork) going so they must be here too.

Look at it from the bright side: the top of the forum now looks better as I had to redesign it because of the ads.

I know that they are what funds the site but isn't there a program that we can download to block popups on the forum.

Use Netscape or Mozilla. The popups never pop there :)

The are also tons of popup blockers for ie around. Try searching in google for "popup blocker" or something like that.

Thanks bobyx for the suggestion. As I said in the previous post I don't mind the occasional pop-up seeming its what brings the prices down for youse to have such good sites. It's only when they regularly interfere that it becomes a bit of an annoyance.

No. Without pop-ups, the internet could be half as big as it is today.

I just remembered why I don't see all those ads. IE blocks them because I have a HOSTS file, which is a list of domains/servers IE will block. It comes with Kazaa Lite.

The latest Netscape is actually Mozilla 1.0.2, whereas the newest Mozilla is 1.3. That probably means that Mozilla is currently better, but with Netscape you get all sorts of plugins.

Install netscape if you want a install-and-use browser, or install mozilla if you want a better browser, but with less plugins.

BTW there's also a fine thing in mozilla like mouse moves, where you can define specific moves with your mouse to different commands, like back, forward, reload...
